Happy Canada day! And to all my readers from elsewhere in the world, Happy Friyay! I hope you all had a wonderful month of June. I didn’t get a whole lot of days off this month but despite my workaholic tendencies it was sunny, bright, and has me looking forward to leaving on vacation in a few days. Here’s a look at the things that crossed my radar month.
Box of the Month:
June 2016 Favourites
FabFitFun 2016 Summer Box
Part of my loving this might be due to the sign up freebies but the summer box was fantastic! The box included a tote bag, a fruit infuser water bottle, two moisturizers, a yoga towel… and it goes on so check out the rest of my box here! The box is sooo cute and Ion loved playing in it after the unboxing 🙂
June 2016 Favourites: Beauty
Garnier all in 1 Micellar Water
I’ve read lots of the bloggers I’ve been following rave about this solution so when my makeup remover finally ran out I bit the bullet and bought a bottle. It wasn’t a hard decision, it’s a rather large bottle and costs less than my tiny bottle of makeup remover. Score! This makes taking off makeup effortless.
Aveeno Protect + Hydrate with SPF 30
I found my holy grail sunscreen! This is formulated for your face as well as body so my face isn’t sticky or greasy when I wear SPF anymore. I was daunted by the $20 price tag but I only use it on my face so it should last a while, plus my skin hasn’t had a breakout from the formula.
Julep Lindsey Creme Polish
I received this in my Julep subscription this month. It’s a lovely soft pink which went great with just about everything I wore this month!
Jelly Pong Pong Bronzer Duo in Carribbean Sun
I got this bronzer as part of my last Ipsy bag back in May and now that the sun’s out I’ve been using it almost every day! I love the formula, it’s very pigmented and buttery. This is my first Jelly Pong Pong product and it’s fantastic!
June 2016 Favourites: Books
The Paper Magician Trilogy by Charlie N. Holmberg
All three books were on sale for 1.99 each on the kindle store and since I’m all about anything magic or fantasy related I went for it. I consider this YA fantasy set in Britain in the early 1900’s. Not my usual cup of tea and the main character grated on my nerves, but the magic system was so COOL!! I felt like this series couldn’t decide what type of book it wanted to be, but I binge read the whole thing in less than a week. I needed a light summer read so I enjoyed the strange love story mixed with heart-stealing blood mages.
