What’s On My Radar: June Edition

Hey lovelies!

Happy Canada day! And to all my readers from elsewhere in the world, Happy Friyay! I hope you all had a wonderful month of June. I didn’t get a whole lot of days off this month but despite my workaholic tendencies it was sunny, bright, and has me looking forward to leaving on vacation in a few days. Here’s a look at the things that made it on my radar month.

Box of the Month: Fabfitfun

Part of my loving this might be due to the sign up freebies but the summer box was fantastic! I got a tote bag,  a fruit infuser water bottle, two moisturizers, a yoga towel… it goes on and on but check out the rest of my box here! The box is sooo cute and Ion loved playing in it after the unboxing 🙂

Makeup/Skincare/Nails

Garnier all in 1 Micellar Water
I’ve read lots of the bloggers I’ve been following rave about this solution so when my makeup remover finally ran out I bit the bullet and bought a bottle. It wasn’t a hard decision, it’s a rather large bottle and cost less than my tiny bottle of makeup remover. Score! This makes taking off makeup effortless.

Aveeno Protect + Hydrate with SPF 30
I found my holy grail sunscreen! This is formulated for your face as well as body so my face isn’t sticky or greasy when I wear SPF anymore. I was daunted by the $20 price tag but I only use it on my face so it should last a while, plus my skin hasn’t had a breakout from the formula.

Julep Lindsey Creme Polish
I received this in my Julep subscription this month. It’s a lovely soft pink which went great with just about everything I wore this month!

Jelly Pong Pong Bronzer Duo in Carribbean Sun
I got this bronzer as part of my last Ipsy bag back in May and now that the sun’s out I’ve been using it just about every day! I love the formula, it’s very pigmented and creamy for a powder. This is my first Jelly Pong Pong product and it’s fantastic!

Books

The Paper Magician Trilogy by Charlie N. Holmberg
All three books were on sale for 1.99 each on the kindle store and since I’m all about anything magic or fantasy related I went for it. I would consider this YA fantasy set in the early 1900’s. Not my usual cup of tea and the main character grated on my nerves, but the magic system was so COOL!! I felt like this series couldn’t decide what type of book it wanted to be, but I binge read the whole series in less than a week anyways. I needed a light summer read so I enjoyed the strange love story mixed with heart-stealing blood mages.

What are your favorites for June? I hope you all enjoyed this post and have a wonderful month ahead of you! Thank you so much for reading! Please remember to like, follow, and let me know what you think in the comments below!! You can also find me at these links on Instagram  & Twitter!

  1. I read that trilogy a bit ago (they are on Kindle Unlimited) and I totally agree with your assessment! The descriptions of their magic left me with a feeling of wonder. But the main character was not likable to me.

    1. Ceony was the worst! I feel like the ending left me hanging, it was kind of abrupt. AND what happened to Lira!! They never mentioned if the police found her or not.

  2. I’m loving the Garnier micellar water and I definitely have to try the Aveeno sunscreen for my face! I use their face cream daily and I’m picky about what I’ll put on my face but I know my skin doesn’t react to Aveeno!

    1. I’m never going back to regular makeup remover! I hope it works for you, I noticed in a flyer this week that london drugs sometimes has it for $10 instead of the $20 I paid at shoppers. I love aveeno!
