Topbox July 2016 Unboxing

Hey there lovelies, It’s Topbox time again! This is my favourite subscription and the only one that I’m still actively receiving for the Summer. There was talk of a potential Canada Post strike so as incentive to remain subscribed Topbox sent every subscriber an additional item this month! How awesome is that!?

If you haven’t heard of Topbox before it’s a Canadian beauty subscription box which delivers 4-5 deluxe and full size items each month.

Price: $12CAD
Shipping: Free
Frequency: Monthly
Skipable: No
Cancellation: Online through your account

*Note: This post contains my Topbox referral link

This month I opted for the eco organza bag delivery. It cuts down on paper waste from the regular cardboard box and the bags are pretty cute. As of last month you will no longer get a product card in the mail but Topbox will send out an email detailing the items in your box.

BareMinerals Marvellous Moxie Lipgloss  Half size $11.5 CAD
My product card email told me I was getting the Marvellous Moxie Lipstick but instead my bag had the lipgloss. I was slightly disappointed. Gloss is really not something that I use, but this is a pretty colour so I might save this one.

BellaPierre Gel Lip Liner in Cinnamon Full Size $23.50 CAD
This is another brand I’ve heard of but have never tried myself. It glides on beautifully but unfortunately the shade is unwearable with my skin tone. It’s a shame, I feel like I would have loved this in a lighter colour. It doesn’t smudge or transfer at all! I swatched it on my wrist and it didn’t budge when I went to wipe it off.

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Defining Lift and Fan Mascara Sample size $13.29
I was happy to receive this mascara! My current one is about to expire so I was ready to try something new. I have an unopened benefit roller lash from May’s Topbox but I was hoping to try out a different brand. Yay! A bottle this size should last me the whole 6 months before expiry.

Glam Glow FlashMud™ Brightening Treatment Sample Size $24
I haven’t tried anything from Glam Glow but I’ve heard Ipsy subscribers rave about it. I’m not sure my face really needs brightening, but I’m excited about this sample regardless. The 0.5 oz sample I received can be found for $24 on the Sephora website or you can get the full size for $79.

Revlon Professional UniqOne Lotus Hair Treatment Sample Size $1
From what I can tell this is a leave in treatment for restoring and protecting your hair. The UniqOne Website has no pricing but I found the full size bottle of this on amazon. My little sample is worth $1, which isn’t the most impressive sample value, but I do have some higher value samples along with it so I won’t be too picky.

Left: BellaPierre Gel liner; Right: Marvellous Moxie Lipgloss

Verdict: I’m happy with July’s box. I’ll use 4/5 items and the box value is $73.29. That’s quite high for Topbox, I feel like I got my money’s worth this month. Ion must examine any bags or boxes that come into the house and he thoroughly pawed at the red organza bag! You can Subscribe to Topbox using my link HERE!

    1. I love this subscription! Especially for Canadians it’s great, the exchange rate was killing me with my US subscriptions =/

  1. I was vert happy with my box as well. I received:
    Bare Minerals Moxie lipgloss
    UniquOne Lotus hair treatment
    St.Tropez everyday tinted body lotion
    Clinique Pep Start eye cream
    BellaPierre lip liner
Additional $10 item was Glow For A Cause facial nourishing cream- full size

Can’t wait for The August box! I’m wondering what the prive boxes will be as well.

    1. Such a good month! The spray smells amazing, I was really surprised! I might pick that one up full sized when I finish the bottle. I agree, the mascara smells pretty strong, but at least the smell goes away after a few minutes 🙂 Gad you liked your bag too
