Julep Kristjana Nail Polish

When I chose Kristjana as a polish in my December Julep Maven Box it quickly became a favourite. I wore this consistently through the holiday season and even in January it’s the polish I reach for most. I tend to paint my nails every three or four days, mainly because I can’t stand the look of chipped nails and I’m always accidentally banging my hands on things and wrecking my mani.

Julep describes Kristjana as a “Sweet Plum Holographic”. They definitely have the holographic part right, the finish is a deep purple with micro shimmer. It reminds me of the sky when the stars first start to come out and the sun is almost down. Very spacey!

This is a one to two coat polish depending on the finish you want. I’m not a nail blogger and my nail skills are adequate but not perfect. I use two coats to make up for any imperfections in my polish job and give it that plump salon look. I’ve been using Julep’s Oxygen Bonding Base Coat, it really helps reduce nail staining when applying darker polishes.

What’s your favourite winter nail polish?

  1. That is a stunning colour! I like that Julep polishes don’t chip as badly as most others I’ve tried. My last mani lasted 10 days with very minor chipping. I was so impressed!

  2. Wow that Kristjana color looks so pretty!!!! My favorite nail color is red so I usually wear a shade of red. If Im feeling adventurous, I’ll wear a nude, pink, purple or blue but I always go back to Red. Never really into green though… lol 😁

    1. It’s just as purple and sparkly in person as it is on camera! I like red too, it’s great for any season! I’ve never really been into green nail polish either, not sure why lol. Maybe if it was a dark green, but it’s still not a colour I would actively seek out! Thanks for reading =)

    1. Julep out did themselves with this one! Normally polishes with any shimmer or glitter to them are incredibly hard to remove but this comes off quite easily as well. Thanks for reading! 💕
