Spring Sephora Haul

Today I have a quick Sephora haul of what caught my eye this Spring. I don’t really do hauls very often anymore, and when I do I keep the haul under $50 and stock up on things that I’ve run out of. This time I wound up returning one of the products I purchased because it just didn’t work out for me. That’s the problem with online shopping right?

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
I’ve been debating picking up this cult classic for months. The problem was that it seemed people either loved it or hated it. Luckily, I love it. It’s my perfect shade for Spring and Summer and the packaging is beautiful. I feel so fancy holding the silver wand! The colour is definitely sheer, which I knew going in. It adds just the faintest tint to your lips and is super comfortable to wear.

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in Light
I’m in the market for a new concealer. I didn’t expect to use up my Nyx HD Concealer so quickly and was rather surprised when I tried to do my makeup one day and nothing came out of the concealer tube. I chose this product because I assumed it wouldn’t settle into fine lines and it was one of the less expensive “high end” concealers at Sephora. Unfortunately the lightest shade available turned out to be too dark for my pasty pale complexion. I’m like freaking snow white, I can never find a proper shade for my skin tone! I tested this concealer on the back of my hand, and within an hour it had oxidized into a deeper orange tone. I have since returned it.

Sephora Collection The Painter: Airbrush Sponge
I was using the Mint Pear blending sponge from my December Ipsy Bag for the past six months and decided it was time to replace it. It was the first makeup sponge I had ever used, and even though most of the reviews said Mint Pear wasn’t very good, I really didn’t know any better. I thought it worked okay… but this Sephora sponge works WAAY better, and was on sale for $6! It’s soft, expands with water, and blends so beautifully! It’s much more comfortable for blending under eye concealer.

Peter Roth Cucumber Gel Mask + Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder + L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Oil

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Chihuahua
When I saw this was a deluxe sample option with a $25 purchase I haaad to place an order. I’ve been wanting to try Too Faced Lipstick for over a year, and I finally got the chance. This lipstick isn’t matte, it has the tiniest bit of sheen and is incredibly comfortable on the lips. I’ve already worn this shade several times since my order arrived last Friday!

  1. I just bought some small perfumes, a travel size They’re Real mascara (which I love), and some Murad skin care. But my favorite thing has to be Kat Von D’s Tattoo liquid liner. It’s incredible. I really should not be allowed to go to Sephora stores as I tend to spend too much!

      1. Be careful though! Even after using the color IQ, still swatch it and maybe even try a sample first. I did color IQ and it was still pretty off for me.

  2. That’s frustrating about the concealer! It’s too bad there are so few shades to choose from. An affordable option I love is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind but they’d have to have your shade of course!

The Almost Lipstick looks really cool! I want to swatch it when I’m in Sephora next!

    1. Right!? I’m going to need to go in to a store to swatch some concealers I think! I’ve been looking at Maybelline actually, I’m not sure if they’ll have my shade though.

Seriously, the packaging alone is so pretty! I don’t think it’s really a necessity, but its a great everyday lip colour.
