Chatty Ramblings: Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes, New Lush, Bath and Body Works + Rick & Morty

Let's Chat!

Hey guys! I have a chatty post for you today. I’ve never done one of these before, but I love watching them on youtube so I thought I’d give it a go! I’ll break it into headings so it’s easy for you to skim through topics for those of you who like to do so!

Quest For Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes

Last Thursday I went to the mall to swatch the new Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette. At my local Sephora the new releases were stashed in a little corner. They didn’t even have a tester for the eye palette! I asked one of the girls there and she said oh, I’m sure there’s a tester somewhere. THERE. WASN’T!

She didn’t even seem to know what palette I was talking about when I mentioned the new Too Faced Palette, so I left confused and empty handed and grumbled to myself that I probably didn’t need it anyway.

Have you guys got your hands on the Just Peachy Mattes palette yet!?

Lush

If there’s one thing that I love, it’s baths. I love a bubble bath, but when I need some extra me time I go for a bath bomb. I had been looking at some new products from Lush online and since I didn’t end up buying the palette I picked out two little treats for myself. I don’t often treat myself to Lush, but when I do I make sure I pick something fancy!

  • Rocket Science Bath Bomb GUYS, the pictures don’t do this justice. It’s a cute little blue rocket designed to look like it’s blasting off in the water. You can’t tell in the photos but it’s sparkly!! Fragrance Notes: Bergamot & Lemon
  • Cheer Up Buttercup Bath Bomb This one is really cute too! One of the girls warned me that it’s extremely citrusy, but I’m cool with that! Fragrance Notes: Neroli, lime & lemon myrtle, topped with blue cornflowers.

I haven’t even used them yet and my bathroom smells amazing!

Bath & Body Works

After visiting Lush I was walking by B&BW and I saw a sign that said, simply, $5. I did a U turn into the store, despite the groaning of my friend! He was a pretty good sport about it though, and I tried to be quick!

  • Salted Caramel Apricot Body Scrub  I’m trying to get used to the idea of Summer being gone and remember all the things I love about Fall, but darn it, it’s hard! Little things like great smelling bath products help me out. I’ve used this a few times and it does have a slippery texture so I need to use it in conjunction with a body wash.

What’s your Favourite Fall Scent!?

For My Husband

If you have a significant other, do you find it easy to surprise him or her? I never know what gifts will surprise Mike, or what he will even like, but this time I think I did good. He is really into the TV show Rick & Morty and I knew that there was a board game on Think Geek that he wanted. Shipping was $20US though, so it was going to be pretty expensive. I scoured every single video game and board game store I could think of before I finally found it!

  • Rick & Morty Anatomy Park This game is based off of the episode of the same name. It’s basically a theme park based off of human anatomy, which is kind of gross and ridiculous, but also hilarious!

Gameplay It’s a building game, kind of like Betrayal or Carcassone in that you are constantly adding tiles to the board and moving your characters around on them. This is NOT a children’s game, it has an 18+ rating. Our deck wasn’t shuffled very well so we met the win conditions before any of the diseases came out. You are trying to score as many points as you can before the guy you are building the “anatomy park” in has a heart attack. Morbid, I know, but it was fun!

He was absolutely beaming when I gave it to him! =D

What are you guys up to this long weekend!? Thanks for reading, please let me know in the comments if chatty posts are something you like, or if you want to see more hauls, reviews, etc! Remember to like, follow, and find me on instagram! Link me your usernames below so I can follow back ❤

  1. Great post! I like this style of post for sure.

I can’t believe they didn’t have a tester of the new peach palette or even know what you were talking about! The swatches I’ve seen are so nice. I’m going to be so tempted to pick it up.

    1. Thank you! It’s fun to do something different once in a while 😃

So weird right!? I wonder if someone walked away with it somehow :S it was also weird that the new release display was tucked away in a corner!

I’ve seen a couple reviews for it and it looks so pretty!! I’ve heard whispers about a clover palette though so I’m hoping that’s a real thing that’s happening soon. I’m going to hold out for that palette!

      1. You would think so from the name, but it’s an animal themed palette. Clover is the name of Jerrod Blandino’s dog, he is a co-founder of too faced apparently (I looked that up, I don’t know my brands that well haha!). I’ll link the article to you!

If you search #toofacedclover on instagram there are a couple pictures which make the palette look different so I’m not sure what it will actually look like :S I hope it’s the darker instagram photos because the ig photos have a few green shades!

      2. I don’t know my brands that well either! It does look like a cute palette! The packaging is adorable and I like that proceeds are going to helping animals! I looked it up on IG and it looks pretty!

  2. My partner is also a huge Rick and Morty fan, I might try track down this game for him. I think he’d love it 😀
Also, I’ve been wanting to go to Lush for ages, there’s always something new to try when I go in 🙂

    1. I hope he loves it if you can find it! There’s also Rick & Morty Clue, the guy working at the board games store said it was pretty fun, but he was trying to sell it to me so I’m not sure how reliable that is xD
I love that Lush has little tubs of water so you can test the products before you buy them!
