2019 Project Pan Update #2

Hey everyone! Since there are only three months left in the year I thought it was time to update you on how my 2019 project pan is going. At the end of 2019 I’ll update you guys on my overall success (or lack there-of) in panning all 18 of the products on my list.

I’ve committed to hitting pan on or finishing a ton of products, so if you want to see what they all looked like at the start of this year you can find that original Project Pan post Here or check out my previous update. Let’s see how much progress I’ve made!

ABH Soft Glam Project Pan

Pan that Palette Update #1

Okay guys, I’ve given up on my Pan that Palette. I wanted to hit pan on my ABH Soft Glam palette and there is no sign of that happening anytime soon. I’ve been rotating my palettes often so the Soft Glam hasn’t got much use. I’m not too upset about it, all of my palettes have been getting used so I am using my makeup, I’m just not focusing specifically on one thing. On the bright side I’m not neglecting any of my palettes.

ColourPop No Filter & MUR Fast Base Foundation | Project Pan

Makeup Project Pan Update #2

The two foundations in my project pan are the ColourPop No Filter Foundation and the MUR Fast Base Stick Foundation. I’ve been focusing heavily on the No Filter Foundation and I’m pleased to say that the bottle is almost empty! I have under 1/4 of a bottle left and I’m sure I will be able to finish it up by the end of October.

My MUR foundation hasn’t been in my rotation nearly as much, but for some reason every application seems to use a ton of product! There’s less than half a stick left.

Project Pan Blushes

I’ve accepted at this point in the year that my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush isn’t going to get panned this year. I’ve been focusing heavily on my e.l.f. baked blush, and I haven’t even got tired of it! I have a small hope that I’ll hit pan on that blush this year, but we’ll see. Baked blushes take forever!

When I’m in a rush I use the Pink Sand blush from my Too Faced Natural Face Palette, so that one has seen a bit more use than my Tarte Blush.

Becca Sunlit Bronzer & ColourPop Bronzer - Project Pan

I also gave up on my ColourPop Private Party bronzer. I just don’t like it. I’ve been forcing myself to use it all year and in the summer time I just decided to stop. The shade is completely wrong for me. It works well as a crease shade for my eyes but other than that I don’t really have much use for it.

My mini Becca Sunlit Bronzer (from the Becca Prime, Bronze & Glow Kithas seen some use lately. I’m still not anywhere near hitting pan but I have hope that I can finish it in the next three months if I use it exclusively.

Project Pan Highlighters

I still don’t see much visual progress from my ColourPop This Is For You Highlighter Palette but I’ve been using it about three times a week. One of the shades popped out of the palette and I had to press it back together. Now it’s a little bit crumbly… Don’t you hate when that happens!?

My champagne pop highlighter still crumbles every time I open it. I’ve repressed it as best as I could but those Becca highlighters are hard to fix… It’s a gorgeous shade, but I wish Becca would stop re-releasing it. I included their new face & eye palette in my Fall Anti-Haul because of this. If you have Champagne Pop you don’t need to buy it again!

Nyx Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick

I found the Tarte Matte Lip Paint that I lost the last time I updated my project pan. That lipstick is now finished, thank goodness! I loved it when I first got it but the older it got the worse it looked on my lips.

Now I just have two lipsticks left in my official project pan, the Nyx Lip Lingerie and the Ciaté Liquid Velvet lipsticks.

Skincare Project Pan Update #2

I’ve seen a lot of progress in the skincare department. I’ve been finishing up a ton of skincare lately, not just the products in my Project Pan. Let’s see how I’m doing…

Lip Care

I’m working on the products in my Bite Beauty Agave Kisses set right now. I keep forgetting that I have them, even though they sit next to my bed so I should remember to use the lip mask at least…

I have made huge progress on my Cocoa Butter Vaseline Lip balm though, and even though it wasn’t in this project I’m pretty pleased about that.

Hand Cream

My Delectable Lemon hand cream from Cake Beauty is about halfway to empty. I recently finished a body wash from Arbonne that I’ve had forever so I’ve also moved onto my value sized bottle of the lemon body wash from Cake. It smells heavenly, just like the hand cream!

Now that it’s colder outside I’m reaching for hand creams a lot more. I hope I can make progress on this during the Fall…

Project Pan Skincare

Fourth Ray Beauty Skin Hero Oil

I finished up a L’Occitane Almond Body Oil last time I updated, but I haven’t been reaching for the skin hero oil. The reason why is that I’ve realized I don’t like FRB’s oils at all. They sit on top of the skin instead of absorbing all the way, and I think they’re doing more harm than good for my skin. I will keep trying to finish the skin-hero oil but I’ve given up on my Watermelon Seed Oil.

2019 Project Pan | Skincare & Makeup flatlay

Are you doing a project pan for 2019?

By the end of 2019 I think that I can reasonably finish up both foundations in this project, my Becca & e.l.f. powders, my Nyx, Kylie & ColourPop lipsticks, and my hand cream. I may not be able to finish everything but I’m glad I’m working on using my makeup before buying more. Let me know if you think my little list is do-able but the end of 2019! Thanks for reading x

I feel like Palettes and blushes are so hard to use up. (or maybe I am not as much into make-up as I thought?) I have two Urban Decay Palettes that just will not say die, heck they aren’t even sick LOL. I feel like I will be using them until 2030. <3

Both take forever! Especially blushes, I never buy blush anymore because I have too much to use up. I totally relate, hardly any of my palettes even show pan 😂

Everytime I see one of these posts, it really motivates me to use more of my own products instead of buying more stuff ( I really don’t need anything). I think I might actually do a Pan product for 2020! Great post Cleia xxx

I’m happy to hear that! I’m slowing down on my beauty purchases as well, I don’t have any shelf space left lol
You should absolutely do a 2020 project pan! Thanks for reading 🙂

I’m already partially writing a “empties I wouldn’t purchase again” post! I really am trying to just get rid of stuff, use stuff up, and just stop purchasing so much stuff! even if I do want it.

        • November 30, 2019 / 6:11 pm

I can’t wait to read it! That’s my goal too, I’ve spent way too much over the past few years 😄

  3. October 20, 2019 / 11:34 pm

I definitely think you can do it! You’re almost there and you’ve made loads of progress this year. Good luck@

I feel that. I started a pan that palette and have not posted an update! I do have some progress but I have been wearing cream shadows lately so they’ve been getting minimal use! Good progress girl! I’m valiantly trying to finish up my butter bronzer!

    • October 14, 2019 / 12:57 pm

It takes so long to see the bottom of an eyeshadow pan, it’s only happened to me a few times 😂 But as long as we’re using the makeup we have I think it’s okay to change it up 😊 Good luck with that butter bronzer!

for sure!! I think my only palette I have pan in is my naked 3 and I have had it for about 4 years lol! Thank you!! 🙂

Great effort on your Project Pan! It’s so discouraging when you don’t see much progress, but you chose some really hard things to pan, like powder products!

You look like you’ve gotten a lot of use out of the Soft Glam palette, even though you haven’t hit pan (seriously, it’s impossible to hit pan on a palette) – my Soft Glam still looks brand new, haha. And I totally agree, cycling through all of your palettes is just as good as concentrating on using up one palette.

Okay, I’m so glad you feel the same about FRB oils! Now I don’t feel so bad about neglecting the Watermelon Seed Oil. I am kind of curious about their cleansing oil, but overall I am not that impressed with their products and feel that they are more concerned about pumping out products instead of focusing on quality.

What shade have you got for the NYX Lip Lingerie? I want to say Ruffle Trim but I may be wrong. Anyways, my love for that shade is still going strong this season so I can see myself potentially finishing it up this year! I also look to finish some foundations and I’ll be pretty content tbh haha.

    • October 14, 2019 / 12:53 pm

You got it! I’ve been wearing ruffle trim for years 😊 I know you love that shade too, it’s so lovely!

Good luck finishing up some products!

Seeing these project pans is the reason I started doing a monthly makeup favorites which I believe I started in June. Choosing different makeup products including a palette and then using them for the whole month. So it’s kind of like a project pan, but not quite. 🙂 ♥
