Top 3 Favorite Fall Lipsticks

Top 3 Favorite Fall Lipsticks

The chill of Autumn is in the air again, despite it technically still being summer. The leaves on the tree by our main window have begun to shed and I’ve started reaching for a blanket scarf and curling up on the couch with a cup of tea and two cats in my lap. Even my makeup routine has inevitably begun to change… No more lipgloss for me, instead I’ve been pulling out plums and wines. Which brings me to today’s post, my Top 3 Favorite Fall Lipsticks.

Favorite Fall Lipsticks: Ciaté Liquid VelvetFavorite Fall Lipsticks: Ciaté Liquid Velvet

Ciate Liquid Velvet in Pin up

Tone: Berry/Wine
Finish: Matte
Price: $19 USD

I remember getting this lipstick from ipsy last year and instantly loving it. I wore it to the last Star Wars movie! This isn’t a drying matte. It’s quite creamy so it will transfer, but it’s so comfortable and gorgeous that I don’t care. Reviewed HERE.

Dirty Little Secret Lipstick in Vengeance

Tone: Berry Pink
Finish: Satin
Price: $10 USD

I got this lipstick from Ipsy in early 2016. I LOVE this formula. It somehow manages to be long lasting with a creamy satin finish, smells like fruit loops, and doesn’t feel waxy on the lips. The packaging could use some work (it has pulled apart several times on me) but I can’t debate the quality of the formula.

Favorite Fall Lipsticks NYX Ruffle Trim

Favorite Fall Lipsticks: NYX Ruffle Trim

Nyx Lip Lingerie in Ruffle Trim

Tone: Nude Pink
Finish: Matte
Price: $7USD

Whenever I see a blogger or instagramer post about Lip Lingerie 90% of the time it’s the shade Ruffle Trim. I love this lipstick so much, I bought it last October and have found it looks great with pretty much any look. Who doesn’t need a pinky nude in their Lipstick drawer!? I wear this over top of the Ofra lip liner in Wine, which coincidentally also makes a great fall shade on it’s own. Reviewed HERE.

I haven’t tried any of the ones you mentioned but they all look super pretty! I can’t wait to break out my favorite fall lippies to wear for fall!

I love seeing all the berry tones that are out this season! What’s your favourite?

I’m obsessed with the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks in the shades Disturbed, wearing it by itself and by topping it with the pink-berry shade Jilted (also a UD Vice lipstick). That’s my go-to fall dark berry lipsticks!

Both look like really pretty shades!
I am absolutely loving the Kylie lip kit & gloss from your giveaway, I wore them everyday this weekend!!

I’m so glad that you like it!

Love your picks! They are beautiful shades for fall, but not so dark and vampy that it would be weird if you wore them at other times of the year, so very versatile too! Ruffle Trim looks absolutely gorgeous on you!

I’m glad you like them! I don’t really wear dark lipsticks very often, Pin Up is the darkest shade that I own. I cant tell you enough how much I love ruffle trim! I love wearing that shade to work =)
      Thanks for reading!

I’ve been wanting to try those for so long! They’re a bit expensive though and I know I would probably take it everywhere with me and lose it so I haven’t purchased yet haha.
      Thanks for reading!

Oh they are a bit expensive but I think they’re worth it

        • October 3, 2017 / 2:53 pm

Good to know! I’ll consider picking one up to try ☺

Pin Up is SO pretty! I have this colour as well and I love how it looks on you. I’m not sold on how it looks on myself though. I really love that Ruffle Trim shade. I pretty much love all the Nyx Lingerie shades! XD But I have heard about how drying they are so I haven’t ever purchased.

    • September 25, 2017 / 11:12 pm

It’s the only dark shade I have for fall and I really love it! It’s interesting how a shade can work really well for one person and not the next though haha.
Nyx Lip Lingerie is fairly drying so I always wear a lip balm under neath and sometimes on top! It’s so long wearing that I find the lip balm doesn’t make it wear away quicker or anything. But yes, if you don’t like dry lipsticks it’s may not be the best choice!

      • September 26, 2017 / 9:17 pm

Lol so true. It looks a lot darker on me and I wish it didn’t!

I try to wear lip balm underneath drying lipsticks but I find it affects the application a lot of the times so I don’t bother lol.

I love the Ruffle Trim one the most. Probably cause I always gravitate towards more nude colours for my lipstick 😂

    • September 25, 2017 / 2:10 pm

Haha nude lip shades are the best, you can wear them pretty much anywhere! I rarely wear bright or dark colors outside of my house 😄

Them kitty eyes! I mean, all of the lipsticks look good on you, but I couldn’t take my eyes off your… eyes 😀 And I also need to try this Nyx lipstick that everyone’s talking about. x

    • September 25, 2017 / 11:51 am

Haha thanks Siyana! My eyes photograph so blue, I’m always surprised when I go to edit my photos. I wear glasses so they normally look much more grey to me through the lenses 😂😂 The nyx lipstick is so affordable, and it wears for a really long time. Its on the dryer side though so watch out for that! Xx
