5 HG Beauty Products I discovered from Subscription Boxes

So if you haven’t guessed by the title of this post, today I’m sharing 5 Holy Grail Products I discovered from Subscription Boxes. I haven’t reviewed a Subscription Box on my blog in a long time. I love them, I really do but my makeup collection has grown to the point where I can’t justify little beauty treats in the mail each month.

One of the reasons why I started signing up for them in the first place was because I wanted to learn more about makeup products without feeling uncomfortable and overwhelmed in a makeup department. Subscriptions have taught me so much about different products and brands. I originally started with Ipsy and have gone through Topbox, Fabfitfun, Boxycharm and more. In this post I’ll share my top subscription box HG beauty products, why I love them and what box they came in.

February 2018 Look Fantastic Box - Caudalie & Bella Pierre

Caudalie Thirst-quenching Saviours Set

HG Beauty Product #1 Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum

This serum is a skinsaver for me. I originally got a sample from the 2018 Febraury Look Fantastic box and I’m about to make my second repurchase. I can get away without using it in the summer but now that it’s Autumn my skin starting to peel and develop dry patches. For a girl with extra dry skin this serum is a holy grail, I actually notice a difference when I use it vs. when I don’t. It’s a shame it’s so expensive because I’ll be repurchasing the full size.

FabFitFun Winter Box - Exfolikate

Winter Skin Savers - Fresh Soy Cleanser & Exfolikate

HG Beauty Product #2: Kate Somerville Exfolikate

Exfolikate is something that I would never have purchased for myself in a million years. It’s so expensive! The mini is more affordable but we all know that minis rarely have a good value compared to the full size. I received a full size Exfolikate from the 2017 Winter Fabfitfun Box and I have since featured it in my 10 Winter Skin Savers blog post. It’s a great face exfoliant, it makes my face feel amazingly smooth and soft. It also contains

May Boxycharm 2018 | Aesthetica p12 Powder Brush

HG Beauty Product #3: Aesthetica P12 Brush

I am obsessed with my Aesthetical P12 Brush! It came in the May Boxycharm box and I love it so much, it’s extremely soft and it’s tapered shape makes it great for applying contouring bronzers. It’s also a big fluffy brush so I find it blends out my powdered blushes and bronzers really nicely. I used to use small brushes for blush and bronzer but I’m never going back after trying this brush.

Ipsy September 2017 ColourPop Lippie Stix

HG Beauty Product #4: ColourPop Matte Lippie Stix

ColourPop Lippie Stix are my absolute favourite matte lip formula. I like it ever better than liquid lipsticks. I mainly wear matte lipsticks because I find that they last a lot longer and they transfer/smudge less than cream and satin formulas. Matte Lippie Stix are so  comfortable to wear and have shocking staying power. They’re also hella pigmented! I received the shade Glam Bag from my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag and I love it! I’ve since purchased the formula in the red shade Lullaby and it is my favourite red lipstick to date.

July 2016 Topbox Estee Lauder, Glamglow & Revlon UniqOne

Does anyone remember when my blog was Classycatsbox!? or CleiaBeauty!?

HG Beauty Product #5: Revlon UniqOne Coconut Hair Treatment

I’m not really much of a hair product user BUT this treatment is special. It’s been on my repurchase list ever since I received a sample in my 2016 July Topbox Subscription.  I recently picked it up from my local Chatters salon for about $20 and I don’t regret it at all. UniqOne has a lasting coconut scent which I absolutely adore and it has 10 styling benefits from heat & colour protection to shine & frizz control to detangling & split end prevention. The list goes on.

My hair has a tendency to tangle throughout the day now that it’s long so I’m finding that I need to use styling products once again to keep my hair tangle free. This one does the job and I smell like coconut for hours after using it!

What’s the best product you have ever discovered in a beauty box!?

Thank you for reading, I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I love writing list type posts! Let me know what you’d like to see on my blog next xx

I love this topic! What a great idea! That Revlon hair product sounds awesome! I also love that Caudalie serum. It’s so hydrating when you have trouble spots!

I have no regrets with the Revlon spray! I know that not everyone will enjoy the same things especially when it comes to hair but I personally love it.
The serum has already eliminated most of my dry patches since I got it. I also picked up that Cerave cleanser you recommended to me the other day, I was surprised that it’s almost like a lotion but it works really well.

Yes it is exactly like a lotion lol. It’s strange but it’s so good!

I didn’t think I would like the aesthetica brushes but man is that one so soft!!!
And the Colourpop lippie really is super pigmented I loved it too. And just how comfortable and lightweight thy feel on the lips! Some of their best products are definitely lipsticks

I don’t use the other aesthetica brushes we got from Boxycharm much but the P12 is in my Daily rotation!
The lippie stix are one of my favourite matte lipstick formulas! And they’re only $5.50 which is incredible. Thanks for reading!

No such problems with the matte ones. Thanks for reading Erin! xx

I hadn’t heard of them either before getting them in their respective boxes! That coconut spray smells sooo good. I think it was only about $20CAD for a big bottle, there are smaller sizes too. I hope you love it if you try it xx

I’ve been hearing so many good things about Caudalie skincare lately, do they do other products as well or just skincare? I Googled that Colourpop lippie and it looks like such a gorgeous red <3

I think it’s just skincare. The products are a bit expensive so when I buy them I try to get a value set to save a little bit.
Lullaby is so beautiful! I highly recommend it 🙂

      • October 10, 2018 / 1:58 am

That makes sense from other posts I’ve seen then 🙂 it’s good to see when a brand sticks to something and does it well!

Agreed, I always find it weird when a makeup brand tries to do skincare and vice versa!
