So if you haven’t guessed by the title of this post, today I’m sharing 5 Holy Grail Products I discovered from Subscription Boxes. I haven’t reviewed a Subscription Box on my blog in a long time. I love them, I really do but my makeup collection has grown to the point where I can’t justify little beauty treats in the mail each month.
One of the reasons why I started signing up for them in the first place was because I wanted to learn more about makeup products without feeling uncomfortable and overwhelmed in a makeup department. Subscriptions have taught me so much about different products and brands. I originally started with Ipsy and have gone through Topbox, Fabfitfun, Boxycharm and more. In this post I’ll share my top subscription box HG beauty products, why I love them and what box they came in.
HG Beauty Product #1 Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum
This serum is a skinsaver for me. I originally got a sample from the 2018 Febraury Look Fantastic box and I’m about to make my second repurchase. I can get away without using it in the summer but now that it’s Autumn my skin starting to peel and develop dry patches. For a girl with extra dry skin this serum is a holy grail, I actually notice a difference when I use it vs. when I don’t. It’s a shame it’s so expensive because I’ll be repurchasing the full size.
HG Beauty Product #2: Kate Somerville Exfolikate
Exfolikate is something that I would never have purchased for myself in a million years. It’s so expensive! The mini is more affordable but we all know that minis rarely have a good value compared to the full size. I received a full size Exfolikate from the 2017 Winter Fabfitfun Box and I have since featured it in my 10 Winter Skin Savers blog post. It’s a great face exfoliant, it makes my face feel amazingly smooth and soft. It also contains
HG Beauty Product #3: Aesthetica P12 Brush
I am obsessed with my Aesthetical P12 Brush! It came in the May Boxycharm box and I love it so much, it’s extremely soft and it’s tapered shape makes it great for applying contouring bronzers. It’s also a big fluffy brush so I find it blends out my powdered blushes and bronzers really nicely. I used to use small brushes for blush and bronzer but I’m never going back after trying this brush.
HG Beauty Product #4: ColourPop Matte Lippie Stix
ColourPop Lippie Stix are my absolute favourite matte lip formula. I like it ever better than liquid lipsticks. I mainly wear matte lipsticks because I find that they last a lot longer and they transfer/smudge less than cream and satin formulas. Matte Lippie Stix are so comfortable to wear and have shocking staying power. They’re also hella pigmented! I received the shade Glam Bag from my September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag and I love it! I’ve since purchased the formula in the red shade Lullaby and it is my favourite red lipstick to date.Does anyone remember when my blog was Classycatsbox!? or CleiaBeauty!?
HG Beauty Product #5: Revlon UniqOne Coconut Hair Treatment
I’m not really much of a hair product user BUT this treatment is special. It’s been on my repurchase list ever since I received a sample in my 2016 July Topbox Subscription. I recently picked it up from my local Chatters salon for about $20 and I don’t regret it at all. UniqOne has a lasting coconut scent which I absolutely adore and it has 10 styling benefits from heat & colour protection to shine & frizz control to detangling & split end prevention. The list goes on.
My hair has a tendency to tangle throughout the day now that it’s long so I’m finding that I need to use styling products once again to keep my hair tangle free. This one does the job and I smell like coconut for hours after using it!
What’s the best product you have ever discovered in a beauty box!?
