Aveeno Active naturals Positively Radiant Body Care Line Review

Hey beauties, happy Friday! I’m kicking off my weekend with an exciting post for me. Aveeno Canada has generously sponsored this review on the new Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant line through Brandbacker! As a small blogger this is a big deal for me as this is my first real brand collab. The products I received for review are the full sized Aveeno Positively Radiant Lotion, Body Wash & Dark Spot Corrector. You can check out all of the Positively Radiant Skincare Line Here.

*I received these products in exchange for a post on instagram & my blog. All opinions are my own.

Aveeno Active naturals Positively Radiant Body Care Line

Aveeno Active Naturals® Total Soy Complex
Positively Radiant Skincare Line

This Exclusive Aveeno formula harnesses the power of Active Naturals Total Soy Complex and natural light diffusers to help replenish dull, dry skin and enhance skin’s natural radiance.

According to Aveeno there are 5 Factors of Radiance: Tone, Texture, Dullness, Blotchiness and Brown Spots. I don’t personally suffer from blotchiness or brown spots but the first three are factors I would like to address with my skincare. All of these products contain Soy which is a new addition to my skincare routine. According to Aveeno the new Positively Radiant Body Care collection “instantly reveals healthy, more visibly radiant skin and fades the look of dark spots and uneven tone in just one week”.

Active Naturals® Total Soy Complex

The Aveeno positively radiant body care collection contains the Active Naturals® Total Soy Complex which “evens skin tone & texture for radiant looking skin”. Soy can be used in skincare to reduce the appearance of blotchiness and discolouration.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Soy Exfoliating Body Wash

Aveeno Active Naturals®
Positively Radiant Exfoliating Body Wash

This luxurious, exfoliating body wash is enriched with Total Soy Complex and natural exfoliants gently washes away dry, dull skin to reveal softer, smoother skin. This soap-free, hypoallergenic body wash leaves skin feeling radiant and beautiful.

The Aveeno Positively Radiant Exfoliating Body Wash comes in a HUGE bottle. I’m used to The Body Shop bottles that are 250ml, but this bottle is a whopping 532ml (18oz) and retails for $11.49CAD. That’s crazy for the size of the bottle, I can’t believe you get so much product for so little in comparison to the brands I usually buy!

The body wash has a subtle leafy smell too it. It’s fresh and not overpowering at all which has been a big deal in my workplace lately. We aren’t allowed any scented products like perfumes and lotions, so I like that the smell isn’t imposing. It doesn’t last a long time on my skin, which is also a bonus for those who need to be scent free in their workplaces.

The exfoliating granules are small and gentle on the skin. They aren’t harsh like full fledged body scrub granules tend to be so I can use this body wash daily and not worry about it being too rough on my skin. It also isn’t as drying on my skin as some of my other body washes, probably because it’s soap free. This is my favourite of the three products I got to test!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Soy Body Lotion

Aveeno Active Naturals®
Positively Radiant Body Lotion

This body lotion harnesses the power of Total Soy Complex, a key ingredient in the #1 best-selling radiance-boosting face collection, and natural light diffusers to enhance skin’s natural radiance. Plus, this fresh scented, hypoallergenic lotion moisturizes for a full 24 hours leaving skin feeling smooth and nourished

The Aveeno Positively Radiant Body Lotion comes in a 12oz bottle and retails for $8.47 at Walmart. It’s also available at Shoppers Drug Mart anywhere from $9.49 – $14.49CAD. This line is very affordable compared to Bath & Body Works or The Body Shop. I really need to remember to check the drugstore for my body care needs!

I love that this lotion comes with a pump as I have zero patience for lotions in a squeeze style bottle. The pump has a convenient locking function. Normally with liquid soaps & lotions I have to push and twist to unlock and lock the bottle. This one just clicks to the side to lock and unlock so I don’t waste any product if I decide to lock the pump for some reason.

The texture is non-greasy and fast absorbing and the scent is leafy like the body wash (in my opinion. I’m terrible at pinpointing what something smells like)!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Soy Dark Spot Corrector

Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant
Targeted Cream Dark Spot Corrector

For skin that looks as young and healthy as you feel on the inside, Positively Radiant® Targeted Cream Dark Spot Corrector evens skin tone and minimizes the appearance of dark spots found on the body. It’s formulated with clinically proven Total Soy Complex, one of nature’s most effective tone correctors, and natural light reflecting minerals to instantly enhance skin’s natural radiance.

The Aveeno Targeted Cream Dark Spot Corrector comes in a 2oz bottle and retails for $8.47CAD at Walmart and $9.49  $14.49CAD elsewhere. It seemed like an odd product choice to send influencers in their 20’s. I don’t know any girls my age who are having problems with brown spots on their skin. I’ve been using it anyways because of it’s SPF content. If you do have skin discolouration and uneven texture you would like to correct this product claims to fade discolouration and uneven tone within one week of continuous use.

This cream has a similar scent to the other two products I tried but it’s not as prominent. It also has a mild SPF smell that goes away quickly after application. Because this is a body cream it’s much thicker than the Positively Radiant Lotion. It needs to be worked into the skin more than a standard lotion. It feels moisturizing on the areas I’m applying it to and I like that it contains SPF.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Total Soy Complex

Final Thoughts

I can’t thank Aveeno enough for partnering with me to share this post with you guys! If I had to pick specifically one product to recommend from the new Positively Radiant line I would say pick up the body wash. It’s gentle, smells nice and contains a large amount of product for the price. It’s hard to go wrong!

Have you tried the new Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant line?

Thank you so much for reading everyone! Stay tuned for my Boxycharm post this weekend 😉 Please like & subscribe!

How lovely! I haven’t used Aveeno in ages so it’d be nice to pick up a bottle soon. I have only tried the body moisturiser but I really like it compared to most other drugstore body lotions. I will have to try their body wash and other products!

I forgot about Aveeno for the longest time, it was nice to try their products again! I really liked the body wash, I have since purchased the cleanser from this line and I don’t really like it so I’d stick to the body wash and lotion!
      Thanks for reading! 🙂

I love Aveeno products. I have sensitive skin, as well as eczema flare ups, and all their products just work amazingly together to keep my skin looking healthy. Great review! Thank you for sharing. 🙂

I always gravitate towards Sephora so I forget too, today I went out and purchased the cleanser in this line because I ran out of the fresh soy cleanser which is crazy expensive 😥 Hopefully I like this one just as much, it was only $8.99 😁

I’ve only tried the hydrate & protect moisturizer for my face, I didn’t sunburn the whole summer when I used it 😁 Glad you love their body care products too!

I actually like the original Aveeno products. They’re non-scented, super moisturizing, and are perfect for my sensitive skin! I haven’t tried this line of theirs, but the next time I’m stocking up, I’ll give them a try! Thanks Cleia xxx

I love that they’re soap free! I’m going to be buying these body washes in the future instead of spending way too much money at bath & body works. Thanks for reading Melina! xx
