Hey beauties! Today I have a review from a brand that I hadn’t heard of before until recently — You could say they are… Brand new to me! ha. ha. ha. Puns. If you aren’t too upset by that terrible joke let me introduce you to B.liv, a skincare brand from Asia. The B.Liv team generously reached out to me a few weeks ago about testing their O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask in exchange for an instagram post. I wasn’t planning on posting a full review to my blog, but I liked the mask so much that I decided to share it on both platforms.
*I received this product in exchange for an instagram review but all opinions are my own, as always!
B.Liv, pronounced “believe”, was developed to provide “hassle-free, fast and salon-tested [skincare] formulations” to the public. The brand was launched in 2009 in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau and is now the leading brand in pores management solution. B.liv believes that pores management is the “first step towards flawless looking skin”.
B.Liv provides free worldwide shipping and a 30 day satisfaction guarantee (or your money back).

O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask
At A Glance
It’s time to fizz up your skincare routine! We ‘b.liv’ that skicare should be fun! Hence the creation of O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask. This Multifunctional purifying mask combines oxygen bubble and rice powder to brighten and enliven complexion.
The O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask retails for $39SUD (it’s on sale right now for $29!) at B.liv and contains 50g of product. The main functions of this mask are Purifying, Brightening, and Exfoliating. O2 Bubbly Bright claims to diffuse oxygen into the skin to stimulate collagen production and to increase the absorption of other skincare products.
o2 bubble (purifying)
• deeply penetrate into skin to wash away pore-clogging, impurities, debris and excess sebum
• it helps moisturize and brighten; leaving skin bright, soft and full of luster.
red soft beads (exfoliating)
• red cellulose beads that melt away to exfoliate dead skin surface, resulting in soft, smoother and glowing skin.
My B.liv O2 Bubbly Bright Oxygenating Mask arrived in a yellow sturdy cardboard box with a magnetic closure. Inside the box was a securely sealed silver/grey box containing the O2 mask. A small amount had seeped out around the sides but once I opened the plastic jar and pulled off the protective plastic tab I saw that barely any had escaped.
One thing that I know some people wouldn’t like is that the mask comes in a pot instead of a bottle. I personally don’t mind skincare in jars but I know that this really bothers others! Luckily there is a little plastic spatula included to scoop out the product before you apply it!
The product inside has a slightly pink tint to it and I could see the red beads mixed in with the whipped texture of the mask. It smelled like strawberries to me, but you all know I’m a terrible judge of smell!
How To Use
1. apply a small amount onto face and gently massage. bubbles will form.
2. leave on for 5-10 minutes.
3. massage once more for deeper cleansing.
4. rinse with lukewarm water and proceed with remaining skin care steps
*B.Liv suggests to always use the included spatula to keep the mask from becoming contaminated and also to prevent it from bubbling up in the jar.
I was intrigued from the moment I was approached about trying out this mask. A mask that bubbles on my face!? I’m easily excited by anything that sounds fun and interesting, like fun coloured masks, tingling masks, and now bubbling masks. I tried a similar mask from Bliss a long time ago but it was WAY more expensive than this one.
It’s funny that as a beauty blogger “oxidize” is almost a dirty word sometimes — we do NOT want our foundation and concealers to oxidize ever, but oxidation is important to the function of O2 Bubbly Bright.
I used the spatula to scoop out the pink mask and then massaged it into my skin with my hands. The texture was very hydrating, it surprised me because the benefits of the mask are listed as purifying, brightening and exfoliating, not moisturizing.
I gave it a minute and sure enough the mask started to foam up. I could feel it bubbling on my face, it was like a soft tingle. The bubbles didn’t get as big as I thought they would, it was more like a centimetre of bubbles on my face. In a few minutes bubbles reduced and left my skin feeling soft even after I had rinsed my face.
I didn’t notice the brightening effect but my skin is extremely pale during the winter so I don’t think I would have immediately noticed having brighter skin. I did notice that after rinsing my face felt clean and moisturized!
Would I purchase O2 Bubbly Bright on my own?
At this point in my life I would consider repurchasing. When my husband was in school I wouldn’t have because money was tighter, but since he graduated and began working again alongside me I’ve been investing in skincare that makes me feel good about my skin. If I had purchased it myself I know I would have finished the jar instead of sending it back for a refund (which you can do with B.Liv).
