Hi everyone! Today I wanted to review a product that I’ve been using a lot from BH Cosmetics. I found the Glam Reflection Rosé palette on sale last year and I’ve been loving it since! This palette has a different formula than the Travel Series palettes I’ve been reviewing so I hope this review is helpful to you guys.

BH Cosmetics Glam Reflection Rosé Palette Review
The BH Cosmetics Glam Reflection palette in Rosé is stunning! The palette features a mirrored rosé case, a HUGE mirror, and 15 matte & shimmer eyeshadow finishes. I found mine at Marshalls in Canada for $10CAD, but it retails for $18USD at BH Cosmetics. The palettes can be often be found on sale anywhere from $10 – 15. For Cyber Monday it was under $4!
For some reason BH Cosmetics doesn’t have all their palettes on their website at all times, they’ll disappear for a while and then come back when they’re in stock again. At the time of publishing this review the only Glam Reflection palette available is the Glam Reflection Smoke Palette
The pans in the palette are huge and I don’t see myself hitting the bottom anytime soon.
Okay so this palette is a little different from the travel series palettes I’ve been raving about from BH cosmetics. I like the Glam Reflections palettes a lot as well, but the formula is definitely different. For one, the shadows are pressed more firmly in the Glam Reflections palettes. I wouldn’t describe them as buttery, like the travel palettes, which get their impact from how softly they’re pressed.
The mattes in the BH Cosmetics Glam Reflection Rosé palette are harder pressed which gives them a drier and dustier feel. They pick up well with a brush, and the shadows can be built up to a bold & beautiful finish. I have never hit “hard pan” on a shade, which is where the shadow crusts over and becomes impossible to pick up any pigment. Beginners would love this palette for how user friendly it is.
The shimmers are more shimmery than the travel series palettes, which contain full blown metallic shades. Sometimes I use some of the shimmers in glam rose for brow bone and cheek highlighters. They’re subtle enough to use all over the face. The shimmers in the travel palettes and Desert Oasis are way too high impact for me to place them anywhere but the eyelids.
The formula in the BH Cosmetics Glam Reflection Rosé palette allows you to construct soft & beautiful looks, which can be built up to be more “glam” or left alone for a subtle everyday makeup look.
Glam Reflections Rosé Palette Swatches
The tones in this palette are so pretty! They’re great everyday shades that are really easy to put together into a complete eye look. Some of the mattes are on the lighter side, as you can probably see here. The matte white in the top left column of these swatches is too light even for me to set my eyeshadow primer. Thankfully there are lots of other shades I can use instead!
Glam Reflections Rosé Makeup Looks
For my first look with the BH Cosmetics Glam Reflection Rosé palette I wanted to do something with the pale pink shimmer. It’s a stunning eyeshadow and the pictures don’t do it justice. I love applying it wet, the shadow sheers out and takes on an ethereal quality, it’s very pretty.
I like to use this pink shade for my everyday kind of looks as well, it balances out the darker & moodier side of the palette. This is not a cut crease, though the look follows the same makeup style. I just didn’t do the part where I spend half an hour trying to get crisp lines with my concealer xD
I’ve experimented with this look as a real half cut crease in my spare time and it works pretty well.
I did this look over the holiday season on one of my days off. I don’t really bother much with my makeup anymore when I’m going out, I’m so tired of dealing with maskne! To be honest I thought the gold shade would be a bit brighter. It looks like a rich warm gold in the palette but on the eyes it’s more of a coppery bronze shade.
The lipstick here is Lullaby from ColourPop, unfortunately this shade of Lippie Stix is discontinued.
I know I haven’t been doing elaborate makeup lately, it’s honestly just because my Current Beauty Routine has changed with the times. I don’t really have the energy physically or emotionally to bother with crazy colour combinations and cut creases. I’ve really fallen into one style of makeup that works for me, with the darkest shade in the outer corner and gradually getting lighter towards the inside of my eyelids.
The BH Glam Reflection Rosé Palette is perfect for this everyday kind of eyeshadow look. It’s completely matte and fairly foolproof. I still concentrate the darker shades on the outer corner of my eyes but I blend everything out and keep the edges soft with those matte shades. I love how many mattes are in this palette, I have a lot of options!
A friend gave me this cute toque for Christmas so I had to wear it for the photo! It’s so cute & cozy 🙂
What do you think of the BH Cosmetics Glam Reflections Palettes?
I got a great deal on this palette! The brand continues to surprise me with their amazing eyeshadow formulas. These palettes are much more user friendly than their more pigmented releases, which I think is perfect for everyday casual looks. Rosé isn’t my favourite palette ever, but it’s certainly very good.
I hope this review was helpful to you!
