I don’t know about you guys, but my lips have been incredibly dry since the start of Fall and now that it’s officially winter it’s gotten even drier. My wonderful Mom picked out the Bite Beauty Agave Kisses lip treatment set for me for my Birthday last month which was exactly what I was needing. Today’s post is my review!
Bite Beauty Agave Kisses
At A Glance
The Bite Beauty Agave Kisses Set is made in Canada and retails at Sephora for $24CAD. The set comes in a little black tin and contains a 1.3g agave lip balm, a 5g agave lip scrub and a 5g agave lip mask.
The packaging blew me away! I knew this set would be small so I didn’t expect Bite Beauty to pull out all the stops to make the packaging as lovely as it is. The cardboard cover for the tin is silver and deep green and has AGAVE impressed so that the lettering pops up. Under the cardboard cover is a simple grey tin with the Bite Beauty “B” raised in the metal.
Inside there’s a little card with a swatch of each product and the ingredients Agave, Brown Sugar, Lanolin, Pineapple, and Vanilla written on the opposite side. The products are held in place by a little matte black plastic insert.
The lid for the little lip scrub and the whole lip balm container are made of some sort of super soft, matte black material. Aaaahhh I love good packaging! My only complaint is that there was literally no instructions anywhere on or in the tin. It doesn’t tell me how often to use the products, or the best way to use them.
I couldn’t find info anywhere on the packaging regarding whether or not this lip scrub is edible. I’m assuming not. The scrub smells really good and contains brown sugar. Brown sugar is normally quite harsh when I make my own DIY scrubs, but this one is very moisturizing so it doesn’t feel like I’m scraping my lips when I apply it. It also leaves my lips moisturized and prepped for lipstick.
Though it smells good it doesn’t taste very good. I accidentally got a little bit in my mouth and it was very bitter, not sweet at all! Don’t get the scrub in your mouth guys!
The lip balm is tiny, but because it takes me forever to use up a full sized lip product I don’t mind the size. The lip balm is more of a sticky than a slippery consistency. I typically don’t like sticky formulas but it makes my lips feel extra hydrated. It doesn’t have a distinct smell or taste.
The Agave Lip Mask is thick. It took more effort that I thought it should to squeeze a small amount out of the tube. I barely needed any product to cover my lips, the formula is thick but applies well. It doesn’t feel sticky like the lip balm. I’ve been using the lip mask before bed and it absorbs in well over night.
The Agave Kisses set is a win for me! I always have dry lips but I find the dryness has been alleviated slightly since I started using this set. Only slightly, but for me that’s something! I like the texture of all the products and I don’t mind the small size. This set was a gift, but even if I had paid for it $24 is a great price for three Bite Beauty products!
