ColourPop Precision Brow Pencil Review

Hi beauties, I hope your week is going well. I’m sure this won’t be surprising to you at all but today’s post is a review of the $5 ColourPop Precision Brow Pencil. Yes, I know, more ColourPop, I promise I’m going to take a break soon! I can’t believe just how inexpensive ColourPop’s brow pencils are. Both the Precision Brow and the Brow Boss Pencil retail at $5 which is insane, even after converting to CAD. Two weeks ago I reviewed the Brow Boss Pencil so today I’m reviewing the Precision Brow Pencil.

The ColourPop Precision Brow Pencil has different packaging than the Brow Boss Pencil. The cap on the end with the product is brown and the cap covering the spoolie is clear. A girl on instagram told me last week that until she saw my post of the Brow Boss with both caps off she had no idea that it had a spoolie on one end! Good thing this one has a clear cap so there are no surprises. The spoolie is the softest I have ever used. It’s very fluffy and instantly blends the pigment when I comb out my brows.

The Precision Brow Pencil is not retractable, so take care not to twist the pencil up too high!

The ColourPop Precision Brow Pencil is designed for a stylistic, carved brow. The formula of the Precision Brow is very soft and creamy. This is the creamiest and most blendable brow product I’ve ever used and to be honest I’m not sure that I like how creamy it is. It’s hard not to make a mistake with Precision brow because of how soft the pigment is. I prefer more natural looking brows so I have to use a light hand when applying this pencil to get my desired effect.

The tip of the pencil is supposed to be a thin micro tip but honestly I don’t think the tip is much thinner than the Brow Boss or any other brow pencil I’ve used. It’s maybe slightly thinner, but not enough to make a huge difference in application.

Filling in my brows is super quick with the Precision Brow Pencil because of how well it blends, and I like how thin I can make the ends of my eyebrows.

Overall I enjoyed using the ColourPop Precision Brow Pencil but I think I preferred the Brow Boss Pencil. The Brow Boss lasted longer and was a little more fool proof. There is a drugstore pencil that I like even more than both of these, and that’s the Wet N Wild Ultimate Brow Retractable Pencil. I will be repurchasing the WNW pencil next!

Have you used the ColourPop Precision Brow Pencil?

I would hate to have a creamy brow pencil as well and I agree it can be a little difficult to be light handed with those. Idk if I would ever try it as I have the it Cosmetics full size that i received in my January boxycharm, and it will take a while to go through. I also really want to try the NYX micro brow because some people have compared it to the it Cosmetics one? Idk. But anyway it makes your brows look great!

Thank you! There’s just so many products to try, we can’t possibly try them all especially when trying to use up what we have! I remember liking the micro brow pencil when I tried it. Thanks for reading Rossy! 🙂

You got that right. Too many products to try not enough time to try them all fully lol. And that’s great then, hopefully I like it too!

I don’t fill in my brows, but yours look great! The pencil definitely sounds nice!

Thanks Erin! I think I prefer the brow boss from ColourPop but it’s still a pretty good pencil for $5!

Oooh this brow product looks right up my alley! It looks really natural on you.
Overall do you like it better than the Brow Boss?

PS – love that lipstick on you. What shade is that?

It’s the softest eyebrow pencil ever! I think I like the brow boss better just because it’s harder to make a mistake with it. It takes less time to use the precision brow but I’m quite accident prone so I’m never quite happy with the way it looks.

Thank you! It’s a ColourPop Lippie Stix in the shade Glam Bag (from ipsy). I love the Lippie Stix matte formula 🙂
