When ColourPop released their new plumping lip glosses I happened to be going through a bit of a lip gloss obsession. I don’t know what’s up with me right now but I’m totally loving lip gloss this Spring & Summer. Now that lip gloss formulas are getting less sticky and more comfortable to wear I’m all about them.
This month I discovered the Becca Glow Gloss which quickly became a holy grail lip product for me. Does the ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Lip Gloss compare? Let’s find out.
ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Lip Gloss Review
Get the ultimate glassy, high shine finish with our first ever plumping lip gloss. Loaded with cooling, lip plumping peptides to create fuller looking, pouty lips, this gloss has it all. — ColourPop
The ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Lip Gloss retails for $7USD and contains 9.5g of product. There are 24 different shades available. The gloss contains Vitamin E to nourish and Peppermint for that plumping effect. The formula claims to be cushiony, comfortable, and non-sticky.
The gloss that I picked out is Princess Cut, a completely clear gloss that can be worn over bare lips or used to transform any lipstick shade into a glossy lip.
Packaging
I chose the Princess Cut So Juicy Gloss. This gloss is completely clear and can be worn on bare lips or over lipstick to add shine without altering the lipstick colour. This gloss comes in a plastic squeeze tube and the applicator is made of a rubbery material.
The packaging isn’t very sophisticated in my opinion, but these glosses are only $7 so can I really complain? These lip glosses remind me of the CO Bigelow glosses I used to buy at Bath & Body Works!
Performance
Princess Cut is very glossy, just as it should be. These glosses have some serious shine to them. I notice an intense tingling sensation that lasts for up to 30 minutes from the peppermint every time I wear my So Juicy Lip Gloss.
So Juicy delivers a slight plumping effect that lasts for an hour or two. It’s not super long lasting and it won’t make it look like you have lip fillers. If that’s what you were looking for then look again!
My problem with the ColourPop So Juicy Plumping lip Gloss is that it’s sticky. It says it’s not, but it is. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled with the Becca Glow Glosses lately but I’m noticing the stickiness more and more with So Juicy.
Hair will get caught in your lip gloss on a windy day and I notice a mild stickiness to my lips when I press them together. The gloss is definitely still wearable and fairly comfortable throughout the day (I don’t notice it’s sticky unless I think about it) but for those of you who despise a sticky gloss I would stay away from these.

Princess Cut Gloss & Razzle Dazzle Lippie Scrub
Pros:
- Ultra Glossy
- Plumping
- Smells Like Peppermint
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- Sticky
- Plumping Effect is Mild
- Packaging doesn’t look sophisticated

Have you tried the ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Lip Glosses?
Thank you for reading! Let me know what your favourite lip gloss is right now. If your new here, Hi, I’m Cleia and I’d love it if you joined my blogging family. Make sure to subscribe to my email list on the side bar! Talk soon x

I am so confused because some of my so juicy glosses say 9.5 grams on the box but on the actual tube it says 12 g. Also, one of mine has NO peppermint at all in it. This is not the first time I have had quality control issues with colourpop.

That’s so weird!! I need to look at mine and compare.
Aren’t they all supposed to have peppermint? You should write them an email and complain, that’s definitely a quality control problem!
It’s crazy that lipgloss has made a full 180! These lipglosses remind me of Victoria’s Secret ones I used to wear all the time! I like lipgloss, but I don’t like them if they’re sticky. It sucks that these are! I’ll probably skip this product specifically for that reason, but great post cleia xxx

These glosses are so nostalgic! Everyone is saying that they remind them of glosses from the 90s and early 2000s.
I wish they were a little less sticky. It’s not horrible or anything but there are other formulas I like better. If they weren’t sticky I would recommend them!
Thanks for reading!
I’d say for what they are and how much they are, that’s to be expected. I dont think it’s too bad if it’s a bit sticky. The packaging is certainly such a throwback! Lol

Yeah these are nostalgic for sure! And for $7 I can’t be too picky really haha

It’s definitely a throwback!
Oh my gosh, the tube is just so fun on its own! It’s like a lip gloss you’d use as a pre-teen and I love that nostalgia factor!
Author
Definitely!! I used to have these when I was a kid!
😉
Ohh! I’ve been interested in these, but I am so one of those people who hates sticky lips! I think I need to check out that Becca gloss though!

The Becca gloss is perfection!
I wanna try this out! For some reason, I’ve always struggled with gloss because it’s usually sticky. Too bad that this gloss is sticky, but I think it’s still worth a try! Plus $7? That’s a great price! I love how the gloss looks on you, Cleia! It’s super pretty! 💗
