Day to Night Glam Makeup – January Instagram Challenge

Always Cleia Day & Night Glam MOTD

Hey beauties! It has been sooo long since I posted a makeup look on my blog. I do a fair amount of that on instagram (usually with a flatlay in front), but I’ve been staying away from makeup looks lately.

No more! Thanks to the #JanuaryBeautyChallenge2018 hosted by Nova over at Supernovabeautyblog I’ve been trying out some different looks and makeup combos. Day 12 was “Going Out Glam!”

If you guys aren’t already following me on IG I’d really appreciate if you gave my profile a glance! Let me know if you follow, I’ll follow back <3 @Alwayscleia

Day Time

I’ve recently rediscovered the Tartelette Tease palette from Tarte Cosmetics. I can use it for a very simple look, a smokey eye, or a shimmery glam like this look. I didn’t go full out glam with lashes (I never wear lashes, they scare me!). This look is so wearable for daytime because I’ve paired the eye look with a soft pink lipstick from TréStiQué.

Night Glam Makeup

Night Glam

The only thing I did to change this look was pair it with a bold dark red lip. I’m wearing the new Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lip in the shade Griselda. This was my first time wearing it and I already have lots of thoughts about the formula. I’ll post a review later in January!

What’s your favourite Bold Lipstick!?

I love this!!! Two beautiful looks. You suit the bold lips!!! I wish I did, but unfortunately I don’t. Gorgeous 🙂 x

Thank you so much Laura!! I almost never wear bold lipsticks haha! I have small-ish lips so I find the boldness emphasizes that most of the time. I think there’s a bold lipstick for everyone though, you just need to find it! xx

aww, well you never know, maybe you just haven’t found the right one yet! I’m not completely comfortable in bold lipsticks, I’m always worried about them smudging all over my face xx

Love both of these looks!! My favourite lipstick right now has to be Twig by M.A.C!

I’ve heard soo much about mac lipsticks but I’ve never tried one! Maybe this is the year to change that haha. Thanks for reading! 🙂

Yay, I’m glad you like it!! I don’t have too many glam night outs but when I do I like to wear something out of my comfort zone 🙂

I’m a big fan of that Tartelette Tease palette! I took it with me for 2 weeks to Japan and it contained everything I needed. Great look you created!

    • January 15, 2018 / 1:27 pm

I forgot how much you can do with such a little palette! How long ago were you in Japan?? I have friends who want to go for the Olympics in 2020. Thanks Stashy!

      • January 16, 2018 / 9:26 pm

I was in Japan in 2016. I did several posts on the blog about my trip. Lots of shopping! 😀

        • January 17, 2018 / 12:28 am

Cool I’ll check your travel posts out!! I would buy so much if I went there!

So gorgeous! I’ve been thinking of getting the Make up Forever foundation and you have definitely persuaded me!!

    • January 15, 2018 / 1:26 pm

I hope you love it! It’s medium coverage and blends really well, I have a review of it on the blog as well if you want to know more about it ❤

    Beautiful as always!
I’m looking forward to seeing your review of the Fenty lipstick. I haven’t read up too much on it but it doesn’t seem to look completely matte – like there’s a bit of a sheen? Either way, it’s really pretty!

    • January 15, 2018 / 1:21 pm

I’m planning on posting my review the week after next! It does seems to have a bit of a sheen in the photo, it also wasn’t the smoothest formula to apply. I’ll wear it a few more times and let you know! ❤
