Dr. G Daily Safe BB Cream For Sensitive Skin Review

Dr. G Daily Safe BB Cream

In September’s Ipsy Glam Bag I received a sample of Dr. G My Skin Mentor’s new Daily Safe BB Cream. It came in a cute little tube like this one, only much smaller. It was a 5-10 ml bottle and I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. The problem was that once I realized I loved it I found out I couldn’t ship it to Canada besides through a random k-beauty website that had no online reviews! I went the long way. I ordered it off amazon.com it to my in-laws’ vacation home in the US and they brought it back to me for Christmas.

Packaging

It came in a little shiny box designed to look just like the tube itself. The BB cream is just over 1.5 oz and regularly costs $32USD (you can get it cheaper on amazon). The black cap twists off the bottom. I prefer a bottle with a pump so no product gets wasted but there isn’t technically anything wrong with it the way it is.

Formula

This version of My Skin Mentor’s BB cream is meant for those of us with sensitive skin, redness, and conditions like rosacea. I have dry skin with redness but many products break me out. I haven’t had any more breakouts than normal since I started using Daily Safe. It contains SPF 30 so I don’t need to apply sunscreen to my face prior to use!

Coverage

I consider this light to medium coverage with the focus being on redness, not so much covering scars and other discolouration. I still absolutely need an under eye concealer with red tones to cover dark circles. As you can see above, I had quite a lot of redness on my face before application (bottom left), and after blending it out with a sponge (bottom right) my face is more balanced and ready for bronzer/blush/whatever.

Shade Selection

This is the part that sucks. Dr. G Daily Safe comes in one shade. One. And it works fantastic for me, but for all of you beauties with darker skin tones it likely won’t work for you.

I hadn’t seen anything about it until Ipsy, It’s not very common from what I can tell. You can get it at Nordstrom, dermstore and Amazon. It just sucks that it only has one shade! Thanks for reading! 💕
