As I type this I am sitting in a Starbucks drinking a Caramel Macchiato. We moved into our new home last Thursday but there was a mix up with the internet company and they never showed to set up our wireless. We won’t have internet until next Saturday now so I’ll be stealing moments in coffee shops here and there to update my blog and scroll through instagram. If I haven’t replied to a comment in a while, that’s why!
Today’s post is an e.l.f. haul! The Sephora Haul that I shared last week was supposed to be a Sephora & e.l.f. haul, but my products didn’t arrive in time. Thankfully they were delivered the morning of the move.
e.l.f. Haul
I haven’t shared an e.l.f. haul since the beginning stages of my blog! If you want to see a glimpse of when I had no idea what I was doing as a blogger you can check out the giant e.l.f. haul I did way back then. What a throwback.
I haven’t ordered from e.l.f. since then. There are so many brands out there that I often forget about them. Recently one of my favourite YouTubers, JKissa, released a collaboration with e.l.f that caught my attention again. Unfortunately the vault collection sold out immediately but I was still able to pick up her colourful & vibrant eyeshadow palette.
e.l.f. x Jkissa Palette & Mascara
I love the packaging of these products! I didn’t order the eyeliner that came in the collection but I loved the look of the palette & mascara. These colours are very JKissa! That meadow/acid green shade is unlike anything I have in my collection and I don’t have a purple quite like the ones she included in the palette. I can’t wait to play around with this palette now that the move is over. it’s been a long time since I’ve tried any e.l.f. eyeshadows.
When ColourPop didn’t release a brown mascara with their BFF Mascara collection I was disappointed so Jkissa’s brown mascara is just what I’ve been wishing for. I think that brown mascara is perfect for everyday, especially if you have very fair skin or are naturally blonde like I am. This one is a little more red toned than I thought it would be but it’s still unique and works well for daytime makeup.
e.l.f. Illuminating Primer Mist
Did I need another face mist? Nope. Did I buy another face mist? You Betcha. I don’t know why, I just have a weakness for two specific products: Eyeshadow palettes and face mists. I think most of us makeup lovers have one or two particular product types that we can’t get enough of. Lord knows I didn’t need either but here we are.
I have no idea if this prepping mist will do anything special but guys, it has cucumber in it! I always want products with cucumber and I don’t know why. Seriously put cucumber in something and I’ll buy it. Or I’ll at least add it to my wishlist and think about buying it before it gets buried in the list of products I want one day, never to be seen again.
It was $8 and if it’s amazing I’ll let you know. If it’s not, well… I’ll let you know that too. Have you tried this? It smells like lotion xD
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil
Jess mentioned to me that she loves the $2 brow pencil from e.l.f. and I thought, two dollars!? I’ve gotta try that! After adding my JKissa products to my cart I still needed $6 to qualify for free shipping so it made sense to pick out a few more things to try. So far I like it! The spoolie is really soft and the pigment is creamy but not so much that it smudges all over.
e.l.f. Freebies
I love when I get freebies in my makeup orders. In my most recent colourpop haul (which wasn’t all that recent anymore) I got the Chasing Rainbows palette for free! I never would have tried it but because I did I was able to share what a great formula it had with you guys. So I’m hoping I’ll have a similar experience with these products.
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Satin Lipstick
This lipstick is beautiful! It reminds me a lot of Velvet Teddy from MAC. The formula’s aren’t the same and it’s not an exact dupe but it pulls a look together the same way. This lipstick is also super creamy & hydrating! Pretty decent for $5.
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Matte Liquid Eyeshadow
I could have sworn the gift with purchase info said this was going to be a concealer, so I was surprised when a matte eyeshadow showed up. I’m not sure that I’ll use it but from reading the reviews on e.l.f it sounds like a lot of people like using these matte eyeshadows as primers or for one shade eyeshadow looks. I’m not sure it’s for me so I might give it away.
e.l.f. Baked Blush
I’m currently using one of e.l.f.’s baked blushes in my 2019 Project Pan. This shade is pinktastic and is supposedly a blush… but it’ DEFINITELY more of a highlighter. This would not fly as a blush on my face.
Did you pick up any e.l.f products from JKissa’s collaboration?
And that’s my haul! Not gigantic, which is honestly my favourite kind of haul. All of this cost me under $30 including shipping so I don’t feel guilty at all. I hope to have my JKissa palette review up next week when we have internet again. For now I’ll be spending my time testing out these products. I should also have a ColourPop haul of the new Spring Collection arriving soon Catch you later!
While JKissa’s palette didn’t really appeal to me, I am so happy that she got to collaborate with such a big brand. She is definitely a unique Youtuber, so I appreciate that another typical one wasn’t chosen instead. I hope you really love it! I still haven’t tried e.l.f.’s eyeshadows. In fact, I haven’t tried much e.l.f. at all! I quite like their lip exfoliator though!

I don’t know if I would have bought it if it wasn’t her collab, but I’m happy to support her! I’m glad she’s finally getting to work with larger brands.
It’s been forever since I tried a new elf product! I guess their eyeshadow palettes normally don’t seem all that exciting to me, I never think to see what’s new from them. Oh yeah the lip exfoliator is really nice! I had one a few years ago 🙂
Yeah, I’m ashamed to say that I think I’ve become a bit of a snob at this point. I definitely favour more high end products and those are the ones that get me excited anymore. With the exception of certain drugstore brands of course. But yeah I basically don’t even consider drugstore eyeshadows these days.

I don’t blame you at all, I think eyeshadow is the one category that I notice a huge difference between high end and drugstore! And after that Physician’s Formula palette I don’t really want to experiment too much with other palettes 😂
Fair enough!!
i would love to try the brown mascara! too bad it’s a little bit red toned!

Ooo those purples really are unique. What a gorgeous palette!! I agree that the mascara is a little more red than brown, though, it doesn’t seem like that will be a problem for you. 🙂
That liquid eyeshadow even looks like a concealer! I was surprised to read that it wasn’t!
Looking forward to reading your reviews on all these products. 🙂

Yes!! And the lilac shade is actually pigmented which surprised me, I usually have a hard time getting shades like that to show up.
I need to play around with the mascara a bit more, I’ve been wearing my blue one from ColourPop instead 😄
Thanks for reading Hunida!
I didn’t get to pick anything and still haven’t looked through to see what I’d like more because I think the collab was so well done and I’m so happy for her! I love cucumber face mists too, after trying the Mario badescu one I’m all for them!

I was so excited when she announced her collab, I wasn’t expecting it to be with elf but then I thought, Why not elf? The packaging is really great and I love how affordable everything is.
I need to try that Mario cucumber mist! It’s on my list. Tbh I don’t smell the cucumber in this elf mist at all lol
I actually thought about it in the past, watching her videos, she loves drugstore, CF brands, and she seemed to really like a lot of elf products, and I thought “wouldn’t it be great if she did a collab with them?” I love it lol.
And I don’t smell the cucumber on the MB mist either! I love it! It smells so amazing, yet subtle and refreshing.

I’m glad she finally got the chance!
Cucumber is such a nice ingredient. I even love it in pitchers of water, it makes me feel so fancy drinking cucumber water 😂
hahaha I made a detox water recently with cucumbers and lemon 😀 so good!
Author
Awesome! That might just become my plan for tomorrow. I’m planning on trying your peanut butter smoothie tomorrow too because it’s finally my day off! I’ll let you know how it goes 🙂
Oh awesome!! Did you end up making it? If so, how did you like it? I haven’t made any smoothies as of recently because it’s a little cold so I’ve been drinking tea instead lol.
Author
Yes it’s delicious! I’ve also started making smoothies with pineapple which I’ve been liking a lot 🙂
Tea is good too!
Pineapple is so great in smoothies! Cant wait for warmer weather!
The packaging look beyond beautiful, and the palette shades look so unique! I really hope you like everything! Great post Cleia xxx

I love the Jkissa packaging!! I love that even the non-collab products look nice, especially for the price. So far everything has been working for me 🙂 Thanks for reading!
Oh nice! Would love to hear how the eyeshadow palette turns out!

So far so good!
That palette is very pretty. I’m actually starting to become a fan of e.l.f. products. You really got a nice haul there!!

I always forget about elf but they really do have some good products, especially for the price!
That palette looks like you’ll get so many fun looks out of it!

I hope so! I haven’t had much chance to use it yet but I’m looking forward to when I have time!
