It feels like forever since I reviewed a Fabfitfun box! My last box was the Summer 2016 box, which was amazing, but due to financial constraints I couldn’t justify continuing my subscription. We’ve been paying for my husband’s schooling and saving for our trip next month, but when I saw the first two spoilers for the Fall 2017 box knew I had to order it!
What: A Women’s Lifestyle Subscription that typically contains a mix of beauty, fashion, lifestyle and fitness items worth anywhere from $150-$250 (sometimes more!)
Cost: $49.99US per Box

FabFitFun TV is a collection of fitness videos that subscribers can exclusively access through the FFF website. Many of you know that I religiously work out at home with Fitnessblender, so I was pretty excited to explore the home workouts on FFFTV! I tried out a few different workouts and noticed a few things I liked, and a few that I didn’t.
- Many Different Training Styles pilates, yoga, toning, HIIT, and more.
- Specifically workouts by 3S fitness & Fit Strong and Sexy. These channels are similar to the style of training I normally use.
- Variety of Instructors There is something for everybody here. There are so many different fitness channels on FFFTV. It’s good to challenge myself with a different approach to training every once in a while.
- Lack of information I believe that most people working out in their homes with online videos don’t have a lot of equipment at their disposal. I was put off by FFF workouts that didn’t tell me what equipment I would need right off the bat, so I’d be in the middle of a routine and find out that I needed an exercise ball or resistant bands and be at a loss to complete the routine.
- Overly Peppy Instructors Some instructors were waaaay too peppy for me.
- Music I am not a fan of pop/top 40 dance music. I listen mainly to alt-rock, classic rock, and metal so I don’t personally enjoy it when fitness videos have music burned on. I would rather working out with just the instructors voice and having the option to add my own music.
- No search function The video catalogue isn’t organized very well aside from having training type headings. I want to be able to search by length as well as target muscle groups (upper, lower, core, total body).

The Fall Box
Fabfitfun always has the best looking boxes, I never want to recycle them! Included with the box was the Fabfitfun Fall 2017 magazine. I always enjoy flipping through it, this month has a little section on each product, as well as a few beauty and style columns. I like that the magazine this month is done up like a newspaper!
The wrapping was a bit messy this time around and the FFF sticker was upside down xD Not a big deal, all the items were packed nicely inside. There were more items than I was expecting, I thought I knew most of the items included this month but it turned out I was wrong!
Imm Living Coxet Wire Ceramic Jewelry Holder $30.50
I was not expecting this in the box. I know that FFF sometimes includes jewelry in boxes but I was caught off guard by a jewellery hanger. After pondering what I could hang on it and came up short. My necklaces are too long and I don’t have that many bracelets. My ears aren’t pierced, otherwise I could hang earrings. It will make an interesting desk top ornament but I don’t think I’ll be using it for what it’s intended.
Mer Sea Cozy Wrap $98USD
I was bummed out last fall when I wasn’t subscribed for the Modcloth scarves that came out for the season, but I got a second chance with this gorgeous wrap from Mer Sea! These are crazy expensive and I would never spend $98 on a scarf, but it’s incredibly soft and luxurious. Subscribers received one of three colours; Grey, blue, and pink. I got the pink scarf which was exactly what I was hoping for. I’ve worn this out of the house once already. Quantum kept climbing on the scarf and kneading on it like “this is so soft mrow!”
*Update for those of you who follow my instagram, Q is starting to feel better. We got X rays done and he was given an anti vomiting medication and he perked up afterwards. I was so scared about the drooling and vomiting and had a few upsetting days but things are looking a little brighter*
Private Party Denim Gym Bag $59USD
This was the item that made me resubscribe. My current gym bag is a joke. I’ve had it for well over ten years and it’s falling apart at the seams. I the bag that read Meet Me At The Barre. The other two options read Will Workout For Cupcakes (my first choice!) and Gym & Juice. This denim bag has a side pocket and has enough space to carry whatever workout gear I might need with me, but it’s smaller than I expected. This won’t be good for weekend trips so it will have to be used solely for sports or the gym.
The Jetset Diaries Cableknit Beanie $49USD
Subscribers could choose to receive a black or pink beanie (toque, I’m Canadian) or a B-low the Belt Mia Belt. The belt is technically a higher value but it didn’t fit my personal style and the beanie goes so much better with the scarf! I’ll pretend I don’t already have a giant bin of scarves, mitts and toques here! It’s really soft and cute, but I don’t think it’s worth $49.
dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse $35
Once again I chose the cheaper product out of my selection options. I originally wanted the Molr Dental Club Organic Carbon & Coconut Teeth Whitening Powder + Toothbrush (what a name) but I’ve been struggling with my hair colour fading and trying to reduce hair washing in general. I read reviews on this Apple Cider rinse and it sounded amazing, especially for colour treated hair so I went with that. Would you guys like a review once I’ve tried it?
trèStiQue Lip Crayon $28USD
I got to try a different shade of this lipstick in last October’s Ipsy bag so I’m not entirely unfamiliar with this product. What’s new to me is the lip balm on one side, my mini didn’t have that! I received the shade Florence Fig + Rose Balm which is a lovely light rose. The formula is comfortable, non drying and pigmented. I must say it’s not particularly long lasting so I do have to reapply throughout the day. The lid closure is magnetic, it’s really cool!
Whish Renewing Mud Mask $48USD
FFF usually includes at least one skincare item in each box. This mud mask is leaping bunny certified and made from natural ingredients (mostly? There’s a few I can’t pronounce). It’s a little different from what I normally see in mud masks. For one, this isn’t a mask that you coat your face with and then let sit for ten to twenty minutes. Whish Renewing Mud Mask is more of an exfoliating treatment. You apply a thin layer, massage skin for fifteen seconds to two minutes and rinse.
It also contains Bakuchiol, which I hadn’t heard of before now but is apparently a natural substitute for retinol. This makes it an anti aging product so I’m really excited to give this a go!
Deco Miami Lavender Cuticle Oil $12.50 USD
Now this I’m excited about! I only use cuticle oil when applied at a nail salon. I’m trying to take better care of my nails so I’ve been leaving them polish free until they stop splitting and the polish stains fade away. This has a faint lavender smell and absorbs quickly.
My Tagalongs Hot/Cold Pack $15USD
A gel pack! I was pretty excited when I saw this. I only knew what a few items in the box were beforehand as I wanted to save a bit of a surprise for myself. This Hot/Cold gel pack would probably be really useful for stress & Injury. My husband injured his knee sword fighting (you read that correctly) so this might be useful to him too if he can get over the fact that it’s pink!
Cottonelle Flushable Wipes 10 Pack (SPONSORED ITEM)
This is the sponsored item this month. Honestly I’m a little meh about this item. The magazine touts this as a purse must have to always stay fresh. I thought they were face wipes, but they’re for your bum! I ended up using these when I was travelling through Peru. They don’t have the same sewage system we do here in Canada & the USA so most places don’t stock toilet paper. It was VERY helpful taking these along.
Adding up the value of the box contents I get a value of $375! That’s INSANE! I don’t know how Fabfitfun does it every season. I loved the curation for the most part and I will use just about everything in the box. I’m glad I got to choose my beauty and fashion options, I wouldn’t have been happy if I had gotten the belt instead of the Toque (Beanie, sorry).
