52 Lists Project #5:
List What You Would Like Your Life To Look Like
In 10 Years
- I would like to own a house
- I would like to have travelled to Europe & Australia
- Either at my current workplace full time OR Blogging/YouTubing Full Time
- I hope my husband is still competing at HEMA tournaments (Sword Fighting)
- I want to have released a musical Album
- Written my entire Fantasy Trilogy
- Taken a Personal Finance & Photography Class
- Speak a second language
Call To Action: What are some Small Steps you Can Take Right Now To Make One Of Your Dreams Happen In The Future?
I am actively writing my book with one or two booked writing sessions a week. I’ve started playing my instrument again and am saving for a better blogging/filming camera.
List #6: List The Ways You Love To Have Fun
I was so happy they provided two pages for me to write one because I could go on and on with this list!
- Learning new songs on Guitar
- Watching TV
- Playing RPG Video Games
- Writing my Book
- Going for Coffee
- Watching YouTube
- Playing with Quantum & Ion (my cats)
- Playing with Makeup and photographing it
- Interacting with people on Instagram @AlwaysCleia
- Reading Fantasy Novels & Listening to Audiobooks
- Playing Boardgames
- Shopping (when I have spare cash)
- Baking/ Trying new recipes
- Working Out with FitnessBlender
Call To Action: Plan to integrate something fun into every day this week. We can all settle into routines very easily, so why not break the routine of boredom and start a routine of fun?
I don’t remember exactly what I did for fun each day during week but I have been trying to take more time for myself this year. I try to give myself an hour to have coffee and do my makeup each day and I’ve been actively seeking out the friendships that exist as a two way street for me. No more letting people drag me down.
List #7: List All The People Who Brighten Your Day
This was such a lovely list to write! I won’t share them all but here’s a few I think you guys can relate to:
- Mike, My Husband
- My Mom
- My sister in law who sends me cat pictures on facebook
- Ion & Quantum (they may not be people but their presence in my home brings me joy)
- All of my blogging friends that I interact with on a frequent basis! I don’t know all of your names but I still feel like I know you all personally <3
Call To Action: Write a sweet note to or do something thoughtful for one or some of these people who make your life easier, lighter, and happier.
Mike & I bought my mom dinner last week. She tried to pay but we insisted. It’s nice to treat the people who always try to treat you 🙂
List #8: List Your Favourite Quotes
“Don’t do what you can’t undo, until you’ve considered what you can’t do once you’ve done it.” – King Shrewd, The Farseer Trilogy
“What good is a life lived as if it made no difference at all to the great life of the world? A sadder thing I cannot imagine. Why should not a mother say to herself, if I raise this child aright, if I love and care for her, she shall live a life that brings joy to those about her, and thus I have changed the world? Why should not the farmer that plants a seed say to his neighbour, this seed I plant today will feed someone, and that is how I change the world today?” – The Fool, The Farseer Trilogy
“Hello. My name in Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die” – Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
“Friends aren’t something you can get rid of when something goes wrong, and they aren’t something that can be limited to certain times or places either. Its a 24/7 kinda thing. There’s no in between either, someones either a full on friend, or isn’t one at all.” – Something one of my best friends said to me in high school.
“Angels are bright still, though the brightest fell;
Though all things foul would wear the brows of grace,
Yet grace must still look so.”– Malcolm, Macbeth
“Faith is a blue bird, we see from far. It’s for real and as sure as the first evening star, you can’t touch it or buy it or wrap it up tight but it’s there just the same, making things turn out right.” – Rufus The Cat, The Rescuers
Call To Action: What do your favourite quote have in common? Choose one quality or theme to incorporate into your daily life this week.
They don’t all really have something in common, but I found a lot of them wise aside from Inigo Montoya’s line. I have a plethora of favourite quotes from Robin Hobb’s books (the first two quotes). Her Elderlings series means a lot to me. It changed the way I think about life, fate, destiny, etc. Reading it made me realize that every single action has a ripple effect. Though we may not be able to see it, in every action we have the ability to make the world a better or worse place. When we don’t take action we also change the future. A small pebble in the road can shift the world.
