Hey beauties, today’s post is (finally) my ColourPop FIRE element tutorial! I apologize that this post wasn’t up sooner. I had hoped to get both my Fire & Air element tutorials up this week but life wasn’t really allowing me to get much blogging and youtubing done.
My husband was on nights so he slept during the day when I would normally film/take blog photos, and I have to be super quiet so I don’t wake him up. We live in a Bi-level and the bedroom is beneath the living room where I normally lay out all my products for photos and just the process of arranging things makes a surprising amount of noise on the hardwood floors. YouTubing is a whole other story, I normally film in the bedroom which I of course couldn’t do, and when I filmed this tutorial the lighting was so off…
The FIRE Element
The Aries unfortunately has been a disappointment for me. It doesn’t build well on top of other shadows, I wanted to use it on top of the matte Sagittarius purple but it took me probably ten minutes to build it up. A setting spray helps, but I was expecting really great pigmentation and it didn’t really translate on the eye. Sorry to all the Aries out there!
Personality Traits: Energetic, Charismatic, Spontaneous
The Leo is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a gold that leans more orange than yellow and it’s so stunning, it makes me think of fire! And Lions because y’know… Leo.
Personality Traits: Warm, Generous, Confident
The Sagittarius is a beautiful matte purple. I really love using this shade with my shimmery Scorpio shade!
Personality Traits: Curious, Philosophical, enthusiastic
Get The Look – FIRE Element Tutorial
Step #1: Sweep the shade The Taurus through the crease using windshield wiper motions.
Step #2: Take a small packing brush and pack The Sagittarius on the inner & outer corners of your eyelid. Blend gently through the crease but leave a space in the center.
Step #3: Take The Aries on a wet flat brush and pack it over the purple shade, leaving a bit of purple showing at the edges. Leave a small amount of your eyelid showing in the center of your eyelids.
Step #4: Take the shade The Leo on either a flat brush or your finger and press all over the center of the lid.
Step #5: Lightly pat the shade The Capricorn onto the outer corners of your eyes with a fluffy blending brush.
Step #6: Finish the look with eyeliner and eyelashes if you wish
Are you a Fire Sign?
My last two tutorials were the Water and Earth Signs. My next element sign tutorial will be featuring the Air Sign. I can’t wait to play with that blue Aquarius shade! Subscribe so you don’t miss it 😉
This is such a pretty look, but I am surprised that Aries didn’t perform! It looks like it should have killer pigmentation! I haven’t used that shade yet, so it’s good to know going into it that I might need to put in some extra effort! Again, I have loved that you did element tutorials! So cool!

I think it might be because I tried to pack it over top of that super pigmented purple matte shade. It was hard to make it pop over top :S
I can’t wait to share my air look!
Yeah maybe! Did you just do it wet or did you try concealer?
Author
I just applied it wet. Concealer will be my next attempt!
