Garnier Moisture Bomb Moisturizer | Review

Garnier Moisture Bomb ReviewHey Beauties! Last Winter I discovered what would become my holy grail moisturizer, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream. I had a very similar product in my cupboard which I tested out this month, Garnier Moisture Bomb. The texture and packaging is very similar to Hydro Boost so I was curious to see if it was any good. Let’s dive in!

Product Claims & Key Ingredients

Softer, Smoother, Healthier looking skin with the help of Hyaluronic Acid and antioxidants goji berry, pomegranate, and Vitamins C & E.

Pricing & Packaging

Garnier Moisture Bomb is slightly cheaper than Hydro Boost at $16.99USD for 1.7oz. Hydro Boost is $19.99USD for 1.7oz. Moisture bomb comes in a blue pot with a white lid and white labelling. It has some weight to it.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Review

I absolutely love gel moisturizers so I was pretty sure I’d love Moisture Bomb. The texture is a thin gel that spreads easily and absorbs quickly. This is pretty standard with gel moisturizers but I felt this one absorbed almost too quickly, like a serum. My skin soaked up all the ingredients, but was left wanting more. My skin didn’t feel as hydrated as it does when I use Hydro Boost and had almost a tight quality to it afterwards.

Layered with hydrating foundation and SPF my skin felt much better, but I don’t think I will repurchase. I didn’t notice smoother or healthier looking skin after several weeks of use. I was left rather disappointed!

Weigh in! Do you love the Garnier Moisture Bomb moisturizer? Hate it?

Too bad this didn’t work for you since it’s cheaper than the Hydro Boost! I LOVE the idea of gel moisturizers but they’ve never worked for me – they’re too lightweight for my dry skin!

It was a bit of a let down! I also have dry skin, it gets really bad in the winter time. Hydro Boost has a gel cream version for extra dry skin, that’s what I use and I love it, but Skincare can be so different from one person to another! I’ve noticed that sometimes my primers will pill when using gel moisturizers though :S

You’re so right, a lot of gel moisturizers make primers pill! I don’t know why, but it always grosses me out even though it’s just primer haha.

At least it was worth the try! Now you know the Neutrogena one is better! I honestly can’t stand that tight feeling in my skin. It’s probably my biggest pet peeve lol. I really need to try the Neutrogena!!

Absolutely, my curiosity is satisfied lol. The Neutrogena is sooo good, at least for my skin type! I’ll be purchasing that one again once I finish up the moisture bomb. Tight skin is the worst, It feels so awful!
