Hey everyone! With Christmas fast approaching I wanted to share a holiday anti-haul of the products that I’m not planning on purchasing this Christmas season. I’ve been doing really well at not buying makeup this holiday season. All I bought during the Sephora VIB sale was a mini Fresh Soy Cleanser and I didn’t even shop for Black Friday =O
The products in this Holiday Anti-haul are actually things that I considered getting but decided not to because I had similar in my collection or because I really didn’t need it. Most of my past anti-hauls are products that I think aren’t worth the money, but this time my excuse is I just don’t need it. Maybe when I finish up some makeup (one day…) I’ll let myself buy some of these. If anti-hauls aren’t for you then make sure to check out my Christmas Wishlist instead!
Something I forgot to mention was that not all of these products are specifically “holiday” releases. Many of them just happened to come out in the middle of all the holiday madness so in my mind they seem like Holiday things. The Huda Beauty New Nude palette is one of such products.
It’s absolutely beautiful. It really is, the glitters are absolutely stunning but I just don’t need an $85 eyeshadow palette right now. I mean, I have a whole box full of palettes and I just sunk to a new low and got a BIGGER box. So do I need another palette? Probably not. I also don’t think I would reach for this one because I rarely touch pink eyeshadow.
This one and the mini Tickled Peach palettes are so freaking cute, and I almost died when I swatched them in store. The formula feels so creamy and delicious… But do I need it? No. Especially for that price point I would rather pick up a release that isn’t limited edition so I can review it on my blog and have it be relevant for more than a month or two.
Palettes are my weakness for sure. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting palettes are stunning, but even if they really are $95 stunning I can’t justify the price. My rent is going up and I need to squirrel away some extra cash for our new home. I would love to pick up an Hourglass powder single, but I can’t afford a full face palette.
On the other hand I’m not even sure how much I would use this. I love my Too Faced Natural Face palette and I want to continue loving and using it instead of tossing it aside for another face palette. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t actually get excited for bronzers and blush very often so I would rather save my money for other products.
This set is actually a good deal because it contains a full sized beauty blender and one of the cleansing solids that is meant to clean your makeup sponges. I debated buying this but then I went to Ulta on my mini vacation to Arizona and picked up a $4.99 Real techniques sponge for like 30% of the price. And it’s soooo soft. I don’t know if I’ll ever want to use another makeup sponge
Okay, I lied. I do actually have a product that I think isn’t for me in this holiday anti-haul. The new ABH Sultry palette is pretty… Basic? I apologize if you love this palette. Please keep on loving it and accept that not every product will appeal to everyone out there. Take away the one red interesting pop of colour and for me you get… a neutral palette. Granted there are some foiled looking shimmer shades which I’m sure are beautiful but I just can’t justify $59 for another neutral palette.
What’s on your Holiday Anti-Haul list?
