Today’s post is a makeup tag. I don’t do blogger awards posts anymore and I rarely post tags but this If I could Only Keep One makeup tag sounded really fun. A month ago I was tagged by Nova from Supernovabeauty! The idea is if I could only keep one of each type of product in my makeup collection which ones would they be? I made sure to only choose products that I had more than one option for, for example I only have one concealer currently so I didn’t include it. These are my picks:
Eyeshadow Palette: Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons
I chose this palette for how good the formula is but also for sentimental reasons. I received this palette for my 24th birthday in 2016 and it was my first high end eyeshadow palette ever. If I could only keep one eyeshadow palette I would want something like this that has a lot of neutral shades but also some pops of colour.
Mascara: Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara
This mascara seems to get better for me the longer I have it. It was very wet when I first got it but not that it’s dried somewhat I get the most beautiful elongated lashes from Lash Paradise. The Waterproof version is sweatproof and lasts on me all day.
Lipstick: ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Take A Pixie
This is probably my most worn Lipstick ever. Take A Pixie is the most beautiful rusty burgundy, it looks good with any eye look I do. It’s also not super drying even though it’s an Ultra Matte formula.
Foundation: Make Up For Ever Ultra HD
This foundation is much more expensive than the other foundation in my collection so of course I would keep Ultra HD! It gives me a really nice natural looking light coverage and it blends beautifully. It doesn’t cover everything but I find the rest of my makeup products blend well on top of it.
Bronzer: Sunny Honey from the Too Faced Natural Face Palette
I’m cheating picking Sunny Honey because that means I would get to keep the other five pans in the palette! This bronzer sings to me, it’s the most beautiful golden bronzed shade and it doesn’t look too dark on my pale skin.
Blush: Urban Decay Afterglow Blush
It was really hard to choose which blush to keep! In the end I chose my Afterglow blush because it’s the most expensive blush I own and because of how long wearing it is.
Highlighter: Becca Pressed Powder Highlighter in Opal
How could I part with my beloved Becca Opal!? I have repressed this highlighter twice now, I’m not willing to give up on it. It’s technically slightly too dark for my skin tone but I think it looks beautiful anyways, I don’t care too much if my highlighters are blindingly unnatural. I even apply this wet sometimes for a crazy glow!
Face Primer: Becca First Light Primer
I’m not really a fan of silicone primers so I gravitate towards makeup primers like Becca’s First Light & Back Light Primers. The first light primer makes my skin feel so hydrated and it helps to balance out my skin tone.
Setting Spray: Caudalie Grape Water
This mist makes my skin look and feel so Dewy! The mist dispenser is a dream, it dispenses a super fine floaty mist and I love it.
