After a brief hiatus from subscription boxes I have a November Ipsy Glam Bag Review to share with you guys. I cancelled or skipped all my subs for October because I wasn’t around to write reviews so I’m happy to be getting packages in the mail again!
Ipsy is a $10USD monthly makeup subscription service that includes 4-5 deluxe and full sized beauty products each month.
Shipping: Free to USA. Add $4.95 for shipping to Canada.
Value: Glam bags can average to around $49USD, but this can vary as glam bags are semi-customized.
Customize: Fill out a profile quiz for personalized products and leave feedback on your glam bag contents each month for better curation.
Points: Earn points through referrals and reviewing your glam bag. In addition you get 100 points for joining which can be redeemed for extra items. You can sign up HERE!
I can safely report that Ipsy is now Skippable! There isn’t a skip button on your account, but when you hit the Cancel button there’s an option to skip instead of cancelling. No more of this subscribe/unsubscribe business for me!
November’s theme is All You. Subscribers received one of two different bags this month. One was yellow & brown and the other was blue. I was hoping for the blue so I was pleased when I opened my pink envelope mailer and saw that I got the shade I wanted!
Naked Cosmetics Loose Pigment Eyeshadow in Mother Nature 06 $14.99
I couldn’t find a size quantity on Naked Cosmetics’ website so I’m assuming Ipsy sent me a full size. I rarely reach for loose pigments, they’re so messy and I’m a klutz so the powder usually ends up all over me and my carpet. This shade is a deep brown earthy tone, but when I apply it it sheers out to a bronze sheen. I’m going to gift this to a friend because I know I won’t use it.
Colourpop Cosmetics Satin Liquid Lipstick in Calypso Full Sized $6USD
Ipsy kept Colourpop coming! I received a Colourpop Lippie Stix in the September Glam Bag and I loved it. Subscribers receiving this product received either the shade Barracuda or Calypso. I got Calypso but was hoping for Barracuda. Calypso is kind of the generic pink shade that all subscription boxes send out. I’m probably going to gift this lipstick.
Marc Anthony Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Treatment Sample Sized $1.24
This is a hair treatment sample that’s supposed to moisturize, protect, and boost shine. I’m not one for hair oils, but I do like coconut scented products so I’ll try it out. It smells really nice!
Crown Brush C141 Small Chisel Brush Full Sized $5.69USD
This is my second Crown Brush product from Ipsy. This densely packed brush has bristles made of sable & goat hair and will make a great blush brush. I already used it once with my Tarte Amazonian Clay birthday blush and it applied beautifully. I love that crown brush puts little indents in the sides of their brushes!
it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50 Sample Sized $4.75
I’ve been wanting to try more products from it Cosmetics for such a long time! Even though this is a small sample I’m looking forward to using it. According to it Cosmetics this CC+ cream hydrates, smooths texture and brightens. It also functions as part serum to reduce the signs of aging and minimize pores. Sign me up! I tried it out as a foundation and found it gives a nice light coverage and blended easily.
November Ipsy Glam Bag Value
My glam bag totalled up to $32.67. I’m still not sure if the Naked Cosmetics loose pigment is full size or not, so the total value could be less. I was really excited for this glam bag when I saw my spoilers, but as I waited for it and finally received my products I became apathetic towards most of the items. The only products that I’m looking forward to using after unboxing are the it Cosmetics and Crown Brush products.
