.Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Lately I haven’t been posting a lot of hauls, aside from a single ColourPop order. Instead of doing giant hauls I’ve been purchasing things that I run out of here and there instead of all at once. Since January I realized I’ve accumulated pretty much a brand new skincare routine and I’ve barely shared any of it with you guys, so here goes my collective beauty haul — All my little beauty & fashion purchases from January to March.
Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray
I purchased this mask on recommendation from Melina from MelinaElisa. It’s fairly inexpensive at amazon.ca, I bought it for under $10CAD! I wouldn’t say that it has transformed my skin, but I love to use it spritzed on my beauty blender instead of water when I’m in a rush and don’t have time to run between my makeup station & the bathroom for water. It’s also lovely as a refresher when I’m feeling tired and blah.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost with SPF 15
I discovered Neutrogena Hydro boost for extra dry skin last winter and it was such a skin saver. This time around I purchased the version with SPF 15 that comes in a tube instead of a jar. I’ve said before that jar products don’t bother me, but I know it’s an issue for a lot of you. I’ve used it a few times and I have to say, it doesn’t work as well for me as the Hydro Boost for Extra Dry Skin. I guess I should have known since this is the regular version just with added SPF.
Herbal Essence Dry Shampoo
I picked this up because I noticed it was a few dollars cheaper than the Batiste dry shampoos at shoppers. I go through dry shampoo so fast that I thought, why not? This dry shampoo smells amazing, like fresh peaches! It does an okay job of absorbing oil, but I feel like by the end of the day my hair feels greasy again when it doesn’t with Batiste. It also leaves my hair feeling rather dry, like it’s full of hair spray even if I brush it out.
Fresh Soy Cleanser
I purchased this in January as a Treat ‘Yo Self moment. My skin was freaking out after I put it through a month of using the First Aid Beauty Cleanser so I decided to buy the mini of this cleanser to treat my skin. The full size is $47CAD and I just ran out of the $20 mini so I’m quite sad! Which brings me to my next purchase…
Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser
I bought this last weekend after I ran out of the Fresh Cleanser. As much as I like to invest in skincare I just can’t afford the best products all the time so I walked over to the drugstore one morning and mulled over all the choices for 20 minutes.
I recently received a package from Aveeno containing three products from their Positively Radiant Soy Complex line (which I reviewed here) so I was already familiar with the products. The cleanser was $8.99 at my local Shoppers so I decided why not? It’s oddly enough a very pretty cleanser. The formula has a gold iridescence to it! Not that that makes any difference in the formula, but I had a moment of staring in wonder xD
Lancome Bi-Facil Makeup Remover
This eye makeup remover was featured in my 2018 Winter Favourites! I purchased the full sized bottle in February. It was a very big deal for me because normally I would never spend $15+ on a makeup remover. I tried the mini before buying it full sized and my makeup has never removed easier than when I use Bi-Facil. For me it’s 100% worth it to have an eye makeup remover that is effortless to use and works instantly.
Essie Gel Setter Top Coat
I purchased this on recommendation from my sister in law. Her nails are always immaculate and she says this top coat is her secret! I’ve used it a few times and so far so good. My mani isn’t bulletproof but it’s lasting longer than it was with my previous top coat.
Elle Canada 2018 Beauty Grand Prix Juror Products
I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate as a Juror in the Elle Canada Beauty Grand Prix again this year! Elle sent me a ton of products to test out with the labels wrapped to avoid brand bias which I’m testing out until June. I got sent six moisturizers, four lip balms, and five eyeliners. I’m not allowed to take the labels off until my final logbook is submitted so I can’t tell you a lot about these products yet. It will all become clear in a few months 😉
What have you hauled lately!?
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this collective beauty haul 🙂 I’ll be returning with a couple little hauls this month plus a larger Sephora haul that I’ve been planning for months (hello April sale). My inlaws are bringing back a few things I ordered to their place in the US from Morphe & KL Polish so stay tuned for those first impressions posts!
