Hey everyone! I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about the Kaja Gloss Shot lip glosses. Kaja Beauty is a k-beauty brand that was co-developed with Sephora. The products are available at Kaja Beauty, as well as Sephora and Memebox. Kaja recently released a $20 set of two mini lipglosses and I am obsessed! The Kaja gloss shot glosses have a really lovely emollient formula and the shine is incredible. I’ve been looking for a replacement for the Becca Glow Glosses that I fell in love with a couple of years ago, and while I the formula’s aren’t the same I can see myself buying more of these in the future.
Kaja gloss shot review
The Kaja gloss shot lip glosses retail for $21 CAD and contain 0.14oz of product. This works out to $142.86/oz. The value set I picked up contained 2 x 0.1 oz glosses for a total of 0.2 oz of product. The set retailed for $20, making the value of the set $100/oz. If you were lucky enough to get your hands on the Kaja lil shots gloss set the value is really good compared to the full size product!
The Kaja gloss shot glosses claim to be non-sticky, cushiony and hydrating. They contain Squalane as well as Rosehip and Jojoba Seed Oils.
Kaja is paraben, phthalate and sulfate free. Kaja products are also vegan and Cruelty Free
The packaging of the gloss shot glosses is really cute! The base of the lip gloss is flat so they stand up easily, which is great for storage. I have way too many lip glosses with rounded ends and every time I go to set them down I’m like, why!?
The glosses feature a long curved applicator which hugs the curve of your lips and also holds a decent amount of product. I always thought a doe foot applicator was my favorite but now I think I this curved style has taken the lead!
The Kaja gloss shots are exactly as described. Cushiony, hydrating and not at all sticky. I really like the way they feel on my lips. They remind me of hydrating gel lip balms. The formula is thick and emollient, and if I’m not eating or drinking I don’t have to reapply for hours.
The formula is also super shiny! I was impressed by the high shine finish, I find that shinier glosses tend to be stickier but that’s not the case with these at all.
The one thing I would have liked was a little bit more pigmentation. The glosses aren’t sheer but they also aren’t opaque. The Milk Tea shade has a very slight pink tint, but I can’t really see the tint on my lips. Rose Mocha has a little more pigment, but it’s still a natural looking shade. I would like to see some deeper shades in the gloss shot line. These glosses have a you’re lips but better (and glossier?) kind of look.
Have you tried the Kaja gloss shot glosses?
I love these! If Kaja adds more shades to their range I would absolutely pick up a couple more gloss shots. Currently Kaja only has 4 shades available and they definitely need more! A berry gloss shot would be perfect. I definitely need to try more from the brand because I’m obsessed with this formula. Let me know if you’ve tried the Kaja Gloss Shot lip glosses.
