March Ipsy Glam Bag 2021 Review

March Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Hey beauties! I have another Ipsy glam bag to share with you today. My last Ipsy glam bag was in January, but I wasn’t really in love with any of the products so I didn’t end up posting a review. Luckily the March bag lined up with my preferences better!

If you haven’t heard of Ipsy before it’s a $12USD/month beauty subscription that promises 5+ deluxe and full sized beauty products a month.

March Ipsy Glam Bag Review 2021

The March Ipsy Glam Bag

The March Ipsy Glam Bag is a celebration for women’s history month. The bag design is an illustration of four women of different skin tones holding hands. I love the message behind the bag this month. That being said I don’t have any need for yet another makeup bag. Ipsy really needs an opt out feature for the bag, I have way too many!

The theme this month is Stronger Together.

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Cream Blush

The Products

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek $18

This cream blush was my choice item for March and it did not disappoint! I’ve pretty much stopped wearing foundation since they break me out under my mask, so I don’t need to worry about this blush breaking up my base makeup.

I tried the ColourPop super shock blushes last spring and I wasn’t the biggest fan of them. I don’t know why I expected my experience with a real cream blush to be the same? Because this is awesome! I’ve been missing out let me tell you. The colour sheers out really nice on the cheeks and makes me look healthy and glowy.

This travel size is available at Sephora for $24, and my recommendation is to get the small size. Even though this mini looks small and society tells us that bigger is better there’s no way that I would go through the large size before it’s best before date. I love minis when it comes to bronzers, blush and highlighter.

Araceli Brown Liquid Eyeliner

Araceli Beauty Ojos Perfectos Liquid Eyeliner $17

Ipsy FINALLY sent me a brown liquid eyeliner! I indicated on my preferences a long time ago that I love brown toned eyeliner and this is the first time Ipsy has sent me one.

This liner from Araceli beauty is a deep brown matte liner. I’m looking forward to wearing it for a softer look this Summer.

Benefit They're Real Magnet mascara

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Magnet Mascara $9.99

This is a deluxe sample of the new Magnet mascara from Benefit Cosmetics. I love Benefits Brow Products, especially the precisely brow pencil. Benefit’s mascaras are alright, but to be honest I’ve never found a mascara that wowed me. My eyelashes don’t curl, nor do they stay up even with a volumizing mascara. I only buy drugstore mascaras since they all seem to perform the same for me.

According to Sephora the magnet mascara is “an extreme lengthening and lifting mascara powered by magnetic technology that delivers up to 36 hours of wear and 40 percent longer lashes”. I don’t know if I believe that, but I’m intrigued.

Ipsy Glam Bag Cela and Onekind

Céla Seed to Skin Scrub $3.87

Céla is cruelty free and the products do not contain parabens, pthalates, or sulfates. This scrub exfoliates with Amazonian cupuaçu seeds and moisturizes with Abyssinian oil.  It also contains fragrance notes of orange peel, cedarwood and patchouli.

Other than that it’s an ordinary deluxe sample of a body scrub. I’ll certainly use it, but I don’t think I’ll be dishing out $37 to buy the full size.

Onekind Dream Cream $6.84

The Onekind Dream Cream is a night cream designed for dry skin. It’s got rosehip oil, camomile and squalane to soothe and hydrate. This cream is vegan & cruelty free, and free of artificial colourants/dyes silicones, PEGs, phthalates and petroleum/mineral oil.

My skin has been extra dry lately thanks to living in the land of six months of winter (Canada) so I can use all the hydration I can get. I’ve been using this cream all night and it has such a luxurious, silky texture. I’m really liking this!

Ipsy Glam Bag March 2021 Review

What did you get in your March Ipsy Glam Bag?

Overall not a bad Ipsy glam bag for March. The total value worked out to $55.70 US, and I paid $12 for my bag. After conversion and shipping to Canada I paid $20 in Canadian dollars, so $55 US is a pretty good value. I’m thrilled that I got to try the Milk makeup cream blush. Everything else in the bag will get used, so I’m happy with the March glam bag.

I’ve always wanted to try Ipsy, but I just can’t commit to a monthly subscription. There are several boxes that I have my eye on right now. Decisions…Decisions…LOL

I totally get that. I do really like that Ipsy has a bi-monthly option at least and a skip a month function now. I recently cancelled my subscription through because I’m getting samples faster than I can use them. I’ll probably go back in a few months!

That’s an adorable bag! I’m very intrigued to hear about the new Benefit mascara after you’ve tried it. I was a real lover of Benefit mascaras back in the days before I started buying from the drugstore; Bad Gal, They’re Real, Roller Lash – loved them all!

My first non-drugstore mascara was the Bag Gal mascara back in the day! Very nostalgic for me haha.
I can’t wait to try it, but I have a couple others open at the moment so I’ll have to finish those up first! Thanks for reading 🙂

Bad Gal is such a classic for me!

Benefit’s They’re Real! mascara has been my go-to for years so I bought the new magnet one as soon as it came in to Shoppers. I can’t see much of a difference between the two of them — both make my lashes look lush and full! Curious to hear what you think when you try it too.

    • April 5, 2021 / 12:54 am

I’m using the regular They’re Real mascara at the moment too, so I can’t wait to compare! I’m glad you liked both of them so much! Thanks for reading x

I’m glad that it’s similar to they’re real, it should be a good option then!

I totally agree with you concerning the small size. I purchased the small MILK Makeup bronzer and a year after, I still have a lot left 😂Wonderful post 😍

    • April 5, 2021 / 12:57 am

Nobody needs the full size! It’s way too much product haha. I guess I could understand it if it was something like a foundation where you’re using a lot more. I love that they have these minis available!
