My Evening Skincare Routine

Evening Skincare Routine: Cleanse & ToneLast week I shared my morning skincare routine with you guys so today I’m following up with my evening skincare routine!

Step 1: Remove Makeup & Cleanse

I begin by using Garnier Micellar water to remove the most obvious traces of makeup. It’s gentle on my skin and removes makeup extremely well for me in addition to being very affordable. For my eyes I saturate the cotton pad with the water and gently hold it against my eyelid for a couple seconds, and then repeat so I’m gently blotting the makeup away instead of tugging. Next I go in with a cleanser to remove anything deeper in my pores. I’m currently using the Fresh Soy Cleanser. It doesn’t strip my skin like other cleansers and still makes my face feel clean!

Step 2: Tone

I use the same toner as in my daytime routine, the Nivea gentle toner. Nothing fancy here, it’s almost scentless and doesn’t sting or burn my skin.

Step 3: Moisturize

I currently use Julep’s Night Shift Sleeping Mask/cream before bed. It’s rich and thick and soaks in overnight for more hydrated skin in the morning. My only problem with it is that it’s maybe a little too thick. I combine it with a couple drops of water and it applies a million times easier. I’ve been trying to use up all the lotions from B&BW that I’ve accumulated so I’ve also been applying this Amber Blush Body lotion on my arms, legs, and feet.

At night I really don’t bother with serums and SPF. The bottom line is, remove all makeup and moisturize.

Step 4: Eye Cream

*Updated 03/26/17*
I finally got a real full sized eye cream! With my ring finger I gently apply a dab or two of eye cream under my eyes and around the lid & browbone. It has a slight cooling effect and gently moisturizes the delicate under eye skin.

I love hearing about new skin care items to try! I use the micellar water, but haven’t tried any of the other ones! thanks for sharing.

My nighttime routine is so extra compared to yours! XD I use a billion products lol.

I want to try that Julep cream. I am so intrigued by their skincare! Seems it’s really hit or miss with most people.

I’m kinda lazy with my night time routine haha, I know I should be better about it haha. How many steps do you have in yours? I agree their skincare is hit and miss, there are things I love and things I don’t really care for. I do like this sleep cream, but I’m not sure I’ll repurchase when I run out.

It depends on if I wore makeup or not…6 or 7 if I didn’t, 8 or 9 if I did…lol I have so many steps.

I love Garnier’s micellar water, but I just go through so many cotton pads 🙈

Most days I go in with a foam cleanser (they work so well for me), then I go in with micellar water after to get whatever the cleanser missed. Is that weird? I then use a serum and moisturizer plus eye cream. xo J

No it’s not weird at all! I don’t think it matters what order you use your cleansers in, as long is it gets the job done! I have ridiculously dry skin so I use a creamier cleanser, but I find that they don’t remove makeup as well as foam cleansers so that’s why I go with micellar water fist. I really should use an eye cream at night too! Thanks for your input! xx

Oh I feel ya on the cream cleansers. They definitely aren’t as strong- although the make your skin feel so soft!

It’s great isn’t it?! Thanks for reading 🙂
