Hola beauties! Recently a PR package from Pixi Beauty showed up on my doorstep full of the entire Rose Infused Skintreats line. I saw this travel tote going around influencer’s instagram feeds but I wasn’t holding my breath for this package to show up in the mail. You guys know that I have a very small following in terms of influencers, I’m 1.5k range so I was absolutely stunned when this package arrived. It made my day and if I’m being completely honest, my month.
My husband & I are in the process of purchasing our first home and we agreed that we wouldn’t spend any money until after our possession date in March. Ambitious right? I was wondering whatever I was going to do about blog content but now I have a ton of skincare to test and review for you guys! February is going to be a skincare month on my blog with a few Fourth Ray Beauty products to review and these Pixi Beauty Rose Infused Skintreats!
Pixi Beauty Rose Infused Skintreats PR Haul
Okay so this is amazing. I’ve never had a travel toiletry bag like this and I’ll certainly be using it when I go out of town! How cute is the rose design? I really wish that this tote was available for purchase on Pixi Beauty because this is a set that I think would make an amazing gift.
It has a hook to hang on the bathroom door, a green pouch and two full pockets to store my Pixi Rose Skintreats in. Once I’ve reviewed these products I’ll recycle the cardboard packaging. I’ll hopefully be able to fit more travel essentials in here without all that packaging. Even though this tote is something that I consider a travel item the products inside are full sized!
The Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser contains mineral rich mud to gently cleanse the skin, avocado and rose to condition & nourish, and camomile and aloe vera to soothe. I love that it’s a cream. It doesn’t lather which makes it more hydrating and less stripping than foaming cleansers I’ve used in the past. The Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser is also supposed to be good for sensitive skin. I’ll definitely be reviewing it next month!
I finished my Nuxe 48HR moisturizing cream recently and I wasn’t sure what moisturizer to use next. Pixi chose for me when they sent the Rose Ceramide Cream my way. It contains ceramides and rose oil to nourish the skin.
I wasn’t actually sure what Ceramides were so I did a quick search. According to Paula’s Choice “ceramides are lipids that are found naturally in high concentrations in the uppermost layers of skin. They make up over 50% of skin’s composition [and] play a vital role in determining how your skin looks (and how it responds to environmental threats).” The page also goes on to say that ceramides “hold skin together by forming a protective layer that limits moisture loss and protects against visible damage from pollution and other environmental stressors” — Paula’s Choice
Very interesting! This cream smells lovely and it feels great on my skin. Time will tell how it works over time.
The Pixi Rose tonic is a toner for Hydrating & Neutralizing/Restoring the PH Balance of the skin. Many of you have probably heard of or used Pixi Glow Tonic before which is a 5% Glycolic Acid toning solution. The Rose tonic doesn’t contain any acids for chemical exfoliation. Instead it works to soothe and calm redness and unhappy skin.
Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths
I haven’t used these Pixi makeup removing cloths yet but this is something that I love to have in my travel bag. I don’t know if these are a new product or an older one because I can’t find these specific makeup wipes on Pixi’s website. They have a similar product with camomile & grape seed oil but not specifically these rose cleansing cloths.
I love face mists! I can never tell if they’re actually doing anything for my skin but they feel refreshing when I use them. I’m currently using two Fourth Ray Beauty Mists so I won’t be using the Pixi Rose Glow Mist on a regular basis yet. I’m happy to have another face mist in my skincare queue.
The Rose Glow mist contains 7 different flower oils and is a bi-phase elixir for the skin. According to Pixi it will moisturize, improve skin elasticity and provide free radical protection.
Well doesn’t this sound fancy!? I’m still not completely clear on what the difference between an essence and a serum is. According to some sources essences are thicker while serums are more lightweight… but according to other sources it’s the exact opposite. All I know is that essences & serums usually are targeted towards specific skin concerns, like hydration or wrinkle reduction.
The Rose Caviar essence is supposed to hydrate, soften & tone the skin for a more radiant complexion.
I haven’t used the Rose Flash Balm yet. It’s supposed function a radiance boosting mask or as a makeup primer. I’ll have to test it out to find out what I like it for best. I think I’m leaning towards the face mask idea but you never know.
This is a blend of sweet almond, rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate seed, and rose geranium oils. It’s supposed to boost radiance as well as skin elasticity. I’ve been getting into facial oils a lot lately, my favourite right now is the Fourth Ray Beauty Skin Hero Oil. I’m excited to try this rose oil blend!
I’m really excited for the Pixi makeup fixing mist. I recently finished a little bottle of Essence Fixing Mist and I didn’t like it at all so something new is definitely welcome. The Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist promises prolonged wear and a soft focus finish. It contains rose water & green tea!
