A few weekends ago I was coming home from a family brunch, and for whatever reason decided to park outside instead of going in through the garage. I was sure glad I did, because I had not one, not two, but THREE packages waiting for me outside my front door. I didn’t think that packages were delivered on weekends — Cue Uncle Vernon saying “no post on Sundays”. I guess because it was during the holiday season all the post companies were working overtime to deliver happiness to our doors.
I was absolutely shocked to say the least that I had a giant package from Pixi Beauty. I have heard from a few girls on instagram that they have been removed from the PR list, and since it had been about a month and a half since I started seeing the Pixi Pretties Collaboration PR Set on IG I assumed that I had been removed as well. I think they might just be rolling out PR in intervals to keep the hype going?
Whatever the reason is, I’m so grateful to Pixi for considering me part of their influencer team and I truly love trying out their products and letting you guys know which ones I recommend. This haul is giant and it took me a long time to figure out how to photograph such a large PR box xD
Pixi Pretties Haul
Pixi has rolled out five collaborations with well known influencers over the last few seasons. Today I’ll show you the products and in January & February I’ll start sharing some reviews. But first I had to show you guys the box it all came in. Tbh it’s a little bit ostentatious, there are a lot of products in here but it’s rather wasteful to ship them in such a large box.
Sorry Pixi, I love you but the packaging could be a little more eco-friendly! It’s gorgeous though, and for now I’m using it to store all the products,
Pixi + Chloe Morello
The Pixi Pretties collaboration from Chloe Morello is a set of three lip icing glosses. They are very shimmery and borderline metallic. I love the fun colours, I am DEFINITELY wearing the blue gloss to the new Star Wars movie when I go.
The three shades are Parfait, a pale pink gloss, Sorbet, an out of this world ethereal blue, and Bon Bon, a hot pink. This is my first time trying the Pixi Lip Icing glosses and so far I’m loving them! They’re comfortable and not sticky at all 💕
Each gloss retails for $14USD.
Rachh Loves The Layers Highlighting Palette
Bring out your natural beauty and enliven your complexion, lids and cheeks with this multi-use glow palette
The Rachh Loves Pixi Pretties Collaboration is a 5-pan highlighter palette called The Layers. The powders are really stunning on the skin. Each powder is silky & soft to the touch. There are some really cool and unique shades in here like Zipper, a purple-blue highlighter!! Yep, this is a star wars movie shade for sure.
I honestly don’t really layer my highlighters, I’m more of a one-and done kind of girl but I’m looking forward to giving this palette a shot! I can already tell that Knit will be way too dark for me as a highlighter, but I can probably wear it on my eyes. You can expect some swatches and a review in the future 😉
Heart Defensor Eye Heart Palette
I’ve never heard of Heart Defensor before now, but her Eye Heart palette is really cute! I believe that the shadow formula is the same as the one in the Pixi Eye Reflection Palettes which I reviewed earlier this year. I remember the formula being buildable with minimal kick-up and fallout. The shimmers are absolutely stunning and look much more natural on the eyes than eyeshadows with a ton of glitter.
The orange tones in the Eye Heart Palette remind me a lot of the ColourPop Sol Palette. They have very similar warm browns and oranges, and the hot coral shade is almost identical. I’m always told that I should wear more orange with my blue eyes but I rarely think to wear it! I love Pixi’s shimmer formula so who knows, I may even like this better than the Sol Palette.
I’ll also be reviewing the Pixi Eye Heart Palette at some point in the future, but I have another 5 palettes ahead of it in the queue.
Pixi + From Head to Toe
From Head to Toe is another influencer that is new to me. I’m discovering so many new channels to watch from these collabs! Her collection includes two highlighters/glow powders a well as an eyeshadow stick.
The eyeshadow stick is called “One And Done” and that’s the most accurate name I could think of for it. It’s so beautiful, bronze and creamy. You just need a quick swipe and an eyeshadow brush or your fingers to blend it out, and voila! You’re done!
The glow powders have the cutest names. The pink one is called Wednesdays (How could it not be!?) and the copper powder is called Fetch. These powders are incredibly pigmented. When I swatched them with my fingers I was worried about how I would wear them, but luckily a big fluffy brush and a light hand goes a long way in distributing them. Fetch is unfortunately too dark for me as a highlighter, so I might be gifting it to a girlfriend or wearing it as an eyeshadow.
Pixi + Maryam Maquillage
Maryam’s collection is the one I was the most excited for!! I hadn’t tried Pixi’s lipsticks until now, nor the Liquid Fairy Lights shadows so I’m thrilled to get two of each to experiment with.
This Pixi Pretties collection contains a night and a day kit. The night kit contains a bold black liquid eyeshadow with gold glitter and a nude lip. The day kit has a hot coral lipstick and a more soft & glowy gold liquid shadow. Oddly enough I prefer the liquid shadow from the day kit and the lipstick from the night kit.
Thank you for reading!
