Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations 2019

Hello everyone! With the Sephora VIB Sale starting May 2nd (April 26th for Rouge) I wanted to write my first VIB Sale Recommendations list for those of you wanting to take advantage of the sale but not sure what to buy. The discount is 20% for VIB Rouge, 15% for VIB and 10% for Beauty Insiders. Because Sephora rarely hands out discounts I do think its worth it to shop the sale.

Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations 2019

VIB Sale Recommendations

In this post I’ll be sharing my top product recommendations for the upcoming Sephora VIB Sale of products that I have personally tried and think are worth the money. I also included two products that I’m thinking about buying when the sale rolls around because why not? Let’s jump into my first recommendation…

ABH Soft Glam Palette | Sephora VIB Sale Haul

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palettes

My first recommendation is any eyeshadow palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I bought the Soft Glam Palette in the VIB Sale last Spring and I haven’t regretted it. The formula is so unique and the shades are extra pigmented so I do think you should try one of their palettes at least once. Of course I recommend the Soft Glam Palette but I’ve heard great things about the Modern Renaissance and the new Riviera Palette as well.

These palettes are pretty expensive, at least for me, so if you can get them discounted I think it’s a good deal.

Something that I’m thinking about picking up is the Eye-Conic Frost Palette from Marc Jacobs. I’ve heard amazing things about this palette and the cheetah print on the packaging gets me. I’m normally not a cheetah print kind of girl but I don’t mind it at all on the palette.

Too Faced Natural Face Palette Floral Pan Design

Too Faced Natural Face Palette

I bought this palette in last year’s Spring VIB Sale as well, and I love it so much! I use it all the time, and while I haven’t hit pan on anything yet it’s still my most used collection of face powders. It contains two bronzers, two highlighters and two blushes. I have pale skin so I find that I need to use a light hand in the Tropic Like It’s Hot bronzer and the Pink Wink blush, but they’re both gorgeous colours. The Sunny Honey bronzer is one of my favourite bronzers of all time, it’s such a beautiful glowy shade.

To top it off the Natural Face Palette is infused with coconut butter that gives it a slight coconut scent. It was a splurge for me but I haven’t regretted it at all since purchasing!

Jouer Blush Bouquet Duos

Jouer Blush Bouquet Duos

I swatched the Blush Bouquet Duos from Jouer in store at Sephora a month or two ago and it confirmed that I have to have one of these in my life! I’ve been wanting to add the Adore Bouquet to my collection for a long time and the swatches made up my mind. I’m planning on ordering one of these as soon as the sale goes live!

Ulta Haul MAC Velvet Teddy & MUR Concealer

Mac Cosmetics Velvet Teddy Lipstick

Online at Sephora you can pick up a mini of this lipstick which I think is a fantastic way to try it out. Mini lipsticks last a long time anyways, so I don’t think you need the full size if the $10 mini version is available. I love the formula of the formula and the shade of this lipstick. It’s a chestnut-rose shade that I think is flattering on just about anyone and the formula is comfortable and doesn’t accentuate lip lines. I definitely think you need to try this iconic lipstick at least once!

Stila Glitter & Glow Shadows

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows

I got my first Stila Liquid Shadow at the end of 2018 and I LOVE it! Now I understand all the hype around these shadows, they’re the perfect eyeshadow topper. I wore the shade Kitten Karma all over my eyelids for NYE and it was perfect. I highly recommend picking up a kit like the All Fired Up Kit at Sephora, it’s $33CAD when the full size shadows retail for $31. It’s a great way to get to try a few shades and test out the formula!

Ooh that Marc Jacobs palette is gorge!! I love the cheetah print on it & no lipstick is better than a MAC lipstick, right?!

It is! The packaging is so pretty as are the shades inside. You can’t go wrong with MAC! I just wish they were cruelty free.

I’d probably go for an ABH palette or the stila glitter and liquid eyeshadows. Those get lots of good reviews lol.

      They’re solid good choices!

Every single product I’ve tried from this list I 100% recommend! I would personally add Pat Mcgrath palettes, because while they’re extremely expensive, and I don’t know if I would buy them at full price, I definitely want to try them eventually! Great post Cleia xx

I’ve never tried them! I would love to one day when we haven’t just bought a house, I’m trying to keep my Sephora sale haul low this time. I checked my credit card bill the other day and it wasn’t pretty 😫
      Thanks for reading!

Great recommendations! I totally agree with the ABH palettes and the Stila shadows – the Stila shadows are expensive little buggers, so it’s a good idea to pick them up during a sale!

I really want to buy the Jouer Adore blush duo because I’ve been looking for a neutral blush to add to my collection, but I’ve checked all of the Sephoras in Calgary and we don’t carry Jouer in stores, and I’m a little concerned that both shades are too light on me.

    • April 23, 2019 / 3:09 pm

Why do the stila shadows have to be $31 each 😭 I want them all!

You could always order it online and if the shade doesn’t work you can return it in store near you. It’s not ideal but it’s an option!

      • April 24, 2019 / 9:07 am

I know, right?! Once in a while they have sets of minis that come out, which is nice because then you can try several shades for the price of 1 or 2, but the downside is you don’t get to pick and choose your shades.

Good thinking! I don’t know why I never think to return products lol…they allow returns for a reason!

        • May 2, 2019 / 10:10 pm

That’s my problem right now, they have one set of the glitter shadows right now but I’m not sure I’d use all the shades.

          Take advantage of those returns!

Thank you for the recommendation! I’m definitely interested in the ABH palette because I never have one. The only high end eye shadow palette that I have is urban decay. If you have UD palettes as well, how do you compare their formulas? And among all ABH palettes, I’m kinda torn between soft glam, norvina, and riviera. Any advice? Have a great day!

The ABH palettes are so pigmented! I love the soft glam palette. Just don’t drop them, the formula doesn’t re-press very well, especially the shimmers 😅
Unfortunately I don’t have any UD shadows, I’ve never tried them!
Hmm Soft glam is very soft & wearable with warm tones, it’s good for everyday or you can use it for special occasions. I don’t have norvina but I heard very mixed reviews on it. I think you have to really like purple to enjoy it! The Riviera palette is beautiful, but you have to love color to enjoy it I think. It’s got a ton of bright colors 🙂 I’d love to pick up Riviera one day but I’m glad my first ABH palette was something that I could use all the time. Hope this helps, thanks for reading!

      • April 18, 2019 / 2:28 am

I agree that soft glam might be the most safe to start with. Even though it’s pretty neutral, it contains all pretty shades that I usually go for. It’s like “I don’t have to think much when using that palette” kind of feeling. Thank you for your reply! 🙂

No problem! Of course you know your collection better than I do so if you already have a neutral palette like this one you may want one of the other two 🙂 I’m sure you’ll love whichever you choose!
