Hello and welcome back! Something I’ve noticed a lot of YouTubers doing is posting updates to their hauls to share what products work for them, what they liked, what they didn’t, etc. I decided it would be fun to update you on how my most recent Sephora VIB Sale Haul products worked out for me.
#1) Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette
The shades in the Soft Glam Palette are highly pigmented and blend very easily so I can’t dispute the formula. There’s a fair amount of fallout but that’s to be expected with pigmented shades, especially with shimmers & glitters. My one qualm with the ABH Soft Glam is that I don’t feel as inspired with it as I expected to. I had a dream about owning this palette and how amazing it was which cemented my need to own it, but I find myself creating the same look over and over and over and… you get the picture. Maybe I’m just in a creative rut right now. Still, this palette is a YAY!
#2) Too Faced Natural Face Palette
The Too Faced Natural Face Palette is a dream come true for me. I reviewed it here so check out that review if you want the full low down on these shades. For this post all you need to know is that the formula is buttery, pigmented and smooth. The packaging is luxurious too! Yay of Nay? Yay!
#3) Sephora Ocean Crush Makeup Sponges
I was so excited for these little sponges but they aren’t working out as well as I had hoped. They’re super cute, but they don’t expand as much as other Sephora sponges have for me in the past and they don’t retain water very well. I find myself needing to re-wet them during foundation application. I love the shape of them, they’re perfect for blending under my eyes but I think there are better sponges out there. Yay or Nay? NAY!
#4) Becca Glow On The Go Set
This set contained the travel size First Light Primer as well as a Liquid Skin Perfector in the shade Moonstone. If you have light skin the shade moonstone is beautiful, it’s quite a bit lighter than Opal which was arguably too dark against my skin tone but I love it nonetheless. I’m a big fan of liquid highlighters as is, I find powder emphasizes my dry patches whereas liquid highlighters do not. The value on the travel primer is also unreal, If I bought two of these value sets I would pay less than if I bought the full size primer and still get the same amount of product, plus have the bonus of two mini highlighters. Yay or Nay? YAY!
#5) Sephora #Lipstories Lipstick in Brunch Date
This lipstick was $10 and I already know I’ll be purchasing more shades. My only issue with it is that now that it’s warm out the lipstick is a little bit more slippery. Still, I love the colour, it’s a beautiful peachy nude and I’ve worn it several times a week since my haul arrived in the mail. Yay or Nay? YAY!
#6 ) Caudalie Skincare Set
I’m very happy with this set. For the price of the Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum alone I received three products. I’ve been loving this serum, since beginning to use it regularly I’ve had zero dry patches on my skin. The Moristurizing Sorbet isn’t my favourite just because of the smell, it smells like crayons to me xD It moisturizes just fine but it’s a little weird. The grape water was an unexpected surprise, it disperses the finest floaty mist and I love the way it feels on my skin when it’s hot out! Yay or Nay? Yay.
Overall I’m happy with my purchases. I won’t purchase the Ocean Crush sponge set again but I was in desperate need of a new makeup sponge so I’m not unhappy that I bought it. Next time I’ll look for something that retains water a little better. Other than that everything warrants a repurchase.
