Spring Beauty Wishlist — This No-Buy is killing me!

Hey everyone!! Today’s post is a Beauty Wishlist. As many of you know I’ve been on a No-buy since January 1st. I received some surprise belated birthday money at the start of March so I was able to spend $50 at Sephora on some skincare products I was desperately needing, making this month a low-buy instead of a no-buy month.

We take possession of our new place on March 21st and after the lawyer fees are settled I’ll see where we’re at and maybe start setting aside a small amount of money for new products. On the bright side I’ve been really great about using the products in my 2019 Project Pan lately! If you want to read about all the products that are on my Spring Beauty Wishlist keep reading…

ColourPop Blue Ya Mind BFF Mascara

I remember blue mascara being a thing when I was in high school but the trend died out pretty fast. I am SUPER stoked about ColourPop’s new mascara releases, though I’ll be honest I would probably only wear the blue & black shades. I’m also really confused as to why they didn’t release a brown mascara. I ADORE brown eyeliners and mascaras, they less dramatic than a black mascara or eyeliner does. If they ever release a brown mascara I will buy it. For now I want the blue one.

BH Cosmetics Love In London Palette

I saw both of the new travel themed palettes from BH cosmetics swatched on Beaudiction’s Channel and I though the formulas looked great! I’ve never tried BH Cosmetics’ eyeshadow formula but I always hear good things about it. My goal this year is to review more affordable brands on my channel and brand out from just ColourPop.

The Love In London palette has a good chunk of neutral shades but instead on one pop of colour it includes a blue, purple, and a silvery grey. Do I need it? Probably not. But it looks pretty and I’m sure I’d get a ton of use out of it if the formula is good.

BH Cosmetics Daisy Marquez Palette

I don’t know who Daisy Marquez is but her palette is so pretty! The packaging is rather bulky but the color story is enough to make me look past it. I’m obsessed with the mint green paired with bold oranges & yellows and muted violets.

Sydney Grace Co Shadows

Sydney Grace Co Eyeshadow Singles

I recently discovered Sydney Grace Co on Instagram through Gandalf Sandwich (I LOVE her, check out her account!). Their shadows look so gorgeous. They’re pigmented and seem to blend incredibly well from what I’ve read in reviews. I’m obsessed with their military named shades, they army green & olive shades are stunning. Must buy.

Pixi Beauty Best of Vitamin C Set

I’ve been dying to try Pixi’s new line of Vitamin C Products! I shared PR haul not too long ago of their Rose Infused Skintreats line and while I love a lot of the products in it including my recently reviewed Rose Cream Cleanser and Rose Ceramide Cream I’m not actually a fan of rose scented skincare. I’m really curious if the vitamin C products perform any differently. I’m planning on purchasing this set after we move!

Profusion Cosmetics Wanderlust Palette

Profusion Wanderlust eyeshadow palette

I’m a bit salty about this one because Profusion doesn’t ship to Canada. COME ON!!! This palette was featured on Allie Glines’ Channel a few weeks ago and I was obsessed with the look she did with it. I took a look at Profusion’s website and I can’t get any of their products here which sucks because they’re so affordable! I believe that Profusion is sold at Target (which doesn’t exist in my city).

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Wattabrat

This new pink shade of Killawatt highlighter is one, gorgeous, and two, VERY pink. Total #pinkwednesday vibes. If only it wasn’t $42CAD! I almost never treat myself to full sized expensive makeup but this is one instance that I think it might be warranted.

Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette

Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette

This is finally back in stock at Sephora but it will absolutely need to wait until after the house. I think I’m going to wait for the April Sephora VIB sale as this isn’t a new palette so there’s no real hurry to review it or anything. I might as well get it at a discount!

The shades are beautiful. I love this color story, it looks great for everyday and for a night out as well.

Jouer Blush Bouquet in Adore

Jouer Blush Bouquet in Adore

I’ve been lusting over these Jouer Blush Bouquets since they came out. I don’t need more blushes but the packaging is so luxurious, I can’t stop thinking about these. These might be another product that I wait on until the Sephora sale. I don’t need it but I definitely want it!

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Sea Collagen Serum

This product was on my wishlist draft before I knew I would be getting some birthday money, I used it to purchase this serum! These are the product claims on Sephora’s website:

Vegan Marine Plant Collagen: Hydrate skin and makes it appear firmer.
Marine Plant Extracts: Smooths and softens the appearance of fine lines.
Argan Oil: Lightweight, nourishing oil full of powerful antioxidants and fatty acids.

SIGN ME UP! I’m having issues with weird texture and new fine lines, the dryness really takes a toll on your skin. I’ve also had a lot of added stress lately so I’m sure that doesn’t help. I will let you know how it goes when I try it!

Saturday Skin Wide Wake Brightening Eye Cream

I might buy this sooner rather than later because I’m about to run out of eye cream. I love my Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye Cream but this one from Saturday Skin also has great reviews so I’d love to try it out. My under eye area seems to have aged 5 years this winter, my skin is so dry everywhere. This eye cream is supposed to improve the look of texture and hydrate with hyaluronic acid and Avocado protein.

What’s on your beauty wishlist right now?

I’m going to hold out on most of these until the Sephora VIB sale, I might as well save a bit of money if I can. How’s your year going? Are you on a no-buy/low-buy too? Let me know!

  1. March 13, 2019 / 12:18 am

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the tarte serum! The BH Cosmetics palette’s color story is gorgeous & I’ve only ever heard good things about their formula. I definitely wanna check out that Profusion brand, it seems to be getting bigger & bigger everyday. Hopefully they will send to Canada soon! & wow, yes!! That Jouer blush duo is definitely luxurious looking. How pretty is that packaging?!

So far so good with the serum! I hope that I can post a good review in a few weeks, so far it hasn’t broken me out or anything like that 🙂
I’ve heard amazing things about their zodiac palettes, it sounds like they have a good formula!
Someone told me I can find Profusion at London Drugs so I have to go take a look. Maybe they’re already sold here and I just don’t know it!
I think I’ll be using my Sephora VIB discount to buy the Jouer duo during the next sale. Hopefully it will be in April as usual! Thanks for reading! Sorry I haven’t caught up on your posts yet, I hope to soon.

      • March 18, 2019 / 9:06 pm

Ooh so good to hear about the serum!! I just got an e-mail from tarte today about their brand new face moisturizer. I wonder if it’s any good. I’m excited that you’re thinking about buying the Jouer duo. I can’t wait to hear how you like it!! & oh, don’t apologize!! <3 I know how busy you are. I post a darn lot so I would never expect anyone to be caught up on them or even read all of them. You are the best for doing so though!!! <3

          March 19, 2019 / 8:41 pm

I didn’t realize they had a new moisturizer! I’ll have to check it out.
I went to Sephora today and swatched the jouer duo, the shades are so pretty!
I’m going to spend my morning tomorrow catching up 🙂

          • March 20, 2019 / 12:36 am

They have a new moisturizer and a new face serum now! Interested to know what you think! & that Jouer duo is about to be yours in no time. 😉

  2. March 11, 2019 / 12:54 am

That BH daisy Marquez palette actually looks quite nice!
I also want one of the Dominique Cosmetics palette in my stash. They just look so nicee!!
Some brands I’ve never heard of but its nice to be introduced to new brands because it gives other high end brands a run for their money lol

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 11, 2019 / 3:22 pm

I think so too! The mint green is so pretty. I’m not too keen on the packaging but I can look past it.
Yesss!! The berries & cream palette also looks so pretty, the latte palette looks more everyday though 🙂
I rarely buy high end brands anymore, once in a while yes but I over all I’d rather buy little indie brands or drugstore.

      • March 14, 2019 / 11:05 pm

I don’t but high end either, I’m all about drugstore finds LOL. I do want to start buying from indie brands but it’s just unfortunate that it’s all online because I can’t afford to order things from different sites. LOL.

        • AlwaysCleia
          March 18, 2019 / 6:21 pm

UGH yes!! There are so many brands I’d love to try like Glossier, BH Cosmetics, Zoeva etc but I just can’t justify ordering from their sites all the time. Especially with my mild ColourPop addiction LOL

          • March 20, 2019 / 8:51 am

Bh cosmetics is nice I’ve bought a few things from them but my favorite thing were their brushes lol. Their palettes are good but the ones I have, their mattes are a bit chalky and powdery. They work well though.
I love CP because they’re affordable. I recently went to ulta and was delighted to see some of their products are sold in-store like their concealers, brow pencils and some lippies. I didn’t get a chance to browse though cause the line was super long lol.

          • AlwaysCleia
            March 25, 2019 / 7:08 pm

I’m glad to hear that their brushes are good! I’m really curious about the palettes. I’m okay with shadows that I have to build up, as long as they aren’t too fussy. I loved the green look you did waaaay back when on YouTube with the Brazil palette!
I didn’t know that Ulta stocked ColourPop’s concealers now! Hopefully they have the full shade range.

          • March 28, 2019 / 11:45 am

Some of their palettes are really good. I know for a fact that their formula has gotten better, especially with the take me back to Brazil and the other that for some reason I forgot the name of lol.
And it seemed as though they had plenty but I’m not entirely sure how many they have in total lol. Like other brands, they tend to have the rest online.

          • AlwaysCleia
            April 1, 2019 / 8:07 pm

I will definitely have to try them out soon! It’s hard to know what palette to get when they have so many lol
They probably just have the more popular shades, which sucks for people who have to order their proper shade online.

  3. March 10, 2019 / 3:55 pm

Great list! I’ve wanted to order from Sydney Grace since mid last year, but have held off because of the shipping. It sucks to live in Canada when you want to online shop, haha! I want those Jouer blush duos too…I just wish they were available in store so we can swatch them! I want Adore too, but am worried it might be too light for my skin.

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 11, 2019 / 3:31 pm

I knooow! If only our cities weren’t 3-4 hours away we could split shipping 😄
I’m surprised that they aren’t! My Sephora has a Jouer display but I haven’t seen these duos yet

  4. March 10, 2019 / 12:04 pm

It’s funny, because a lot of the things that you want, are things that I eventually want to get! I have a few BH cosmetic palettes, and I love them! The pigment and the creaminess (especially in the shimmers) are amazing. I think I want to get the sylvia gani palette from BH cosmetics. Daisy is a YouTuber as well, and while the color story is really pretty, I really don’t like the bulky packaging either. The profusion wanderlust palette looks beautiful! Some neutrals, but loads of color! I’ve also been dying to get the dominic cosmetics latte palette. While she released other palettes, none of them excite me quite as much as this original one. I swatched the shades in my sephora, and omg so creamy and soft and beautiful! Might be the next one I get for sure.Great post Cleia xxx

Great minds! I’ve never tried anything from BH cosmetics but I think I’ll be placing a big order after we move! I’m also curious about their zodiac palette, I’ve heard so many good things about it. The Sylvia Gani palette looks really beautiful too!

I need to check out London Drugs for profusion, someone told me that the brand is sold there so I hope I can find that palette!
The latte palette is my favorite of the three too. I think the berries & cream palette is nice too but it’s more expensive and I think I’d wear the latte shades more. We don’t have Dominique Cosmetics in Sephora Canada so I’m glad to hear that you were able to swatch the shades and that they were amazing. Now I want that palette even more! 😍
      Thanks for reading Melina!

      • March 13, 2019 / 9:18 am

Oh, I really enjoy Profusion products, I do own one product by them that I won in a giveaway! I actually almost hit pan in lots of the shades! I was using it almost throughout the entire summer! I know you can find Profusion in Target and TJ Maxx and Marshalls! Maybe you can find it on Amazon or their own website?
I thought the berries and cream palette was nice, but i felt like I could find the shades in between my Urban Decay cherry palette and the modern renaissance palette! Plus like you said it was more expensive! Definitely am looking into the Latte…maybe for my birthday in a few months !

        • AlwaysCleia
          March 18, 2019 / 6:14 pm

Oh wow you must really love them of you’re close to hitting pan on the shades! Now I want that palette even more lol
I should definitely check Marshalls then, we do have a few of those here now.
Oh yes, good point. I don’t have either of those palettes but I can see why you would skip it if you have them! I hope you love the Latte palette if you do end up getting it!

  5. March 7, 2019 / 10:26 am

Seeing all these no buys has made me realize that I have inadvertently been doing the same since I started school in November. Making zero dollars and zero cents is really killing my makeup buying habit 😂

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 9, 2019 / 9:57 pm

Oh yes that will do it, makeup gets expensive! I’m happy that I’ve just been using what I have lately.

  6. March 6, 2019 / 11:56 pm

Enjoyed reading your wishlist! I’m also doing a low-buy year this year and these releases are killing me 😭 I also don’t know who Daisy Marquez is but her palette is absolutely stunning. Also Colourpop mascaras, but I’m particularly interested in the red and purple ones. I wrote also about my wishlist on my blog (https://unprettyvanity.com/2019/02/04/things-i-wouldve-bought-january-2019/), I’d be glad if you want to check it out!☺

Thank you! It’s so hard to not spend money as a makeup/skincare blogger lol
I’ve never heard of her before either but I love the look of that palette. Ooh thanks for sharing I’ll check out your wishlist 🙂

      • March 11, 2019 / 12:09 am

Indeed! lol. Thank you for coming to my blog!

Yes no problem! I just followed you too 😊

          • March 11, 2019 / 9:14 pm

Thank you, Cleia! I have followed you for a couple months on Instagram using my personal account until I didn’t realized I haven’t subscribed to your blog! My bad 🙁 I just subscribed this blog, your YT channel, and your Instagram using this account! Let’s keep contact! 🙂

  7. March 6, 2019 / 10:16 pm

Ooh that Fenty highlighter is stunning! I didn’t know Pixi had released a Vitamin C line but it’s such a nice ingredient for the skin 🙂 The Jouer blush looks like the perfect everyday shade and the Dominique Cosmetics palette is pretty, looks like a good mix of mattes and shimmers x

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 9, 2019 / 10:05 pm

Isn’t it!? I will be saving up for it!

The Vitamin C line didn’t come out all that long ago, I think right before Christmas? I’m really curious about it! Unfortunately my local drugstore doesn’t sell the specific products from Pixi that I want 🙁

I’ve been seeing Denitslava on YouTube using the Jouer blushes and they look so pretty!

Same with the palette. There’s just too many pretty things and I can’t have them all lol.

      Thanks for reading!

  8. March 6, 2019 / 5:06 pm

I kinda want that Fenty highlighter too!

Profusion doesn’t ship to Canada… So rude!!! Have you tried London Drugs? I won a giveaway from LD Beauty and they gave me like 6 Profusion palettes!

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 6, 2019 / 8:25 pm

Oh thanks for the tip! I always forget to check London Drugs because there isn’t one near me but I will have to look!

  10. March 6, 2019 / 3:35 pm

The BH Cosmetics palettes look so pretty especially the Daisy one.

The Daisy palette looks perfect for Spring!

  11. March 6, 2019 / 2:41 pm

I smiled when I read how you’re trying to branch out from ColourPop because I’m trying to do that, too! It’s so hard, right? And, CP just came out with an all green palette….ugh. I SO want it.

I actually have my eye on Sydney Grace eyeshadow, too. Temptalia has reviewed a ton of their eyeshadows over the past year, and they look really nice.

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 9, 2019 / 10:11 pm

It’s really tough! I love them as a brand but I’d love to try other things too. But that green palette is gorgeous! I want it too 🙁

Sydney Grace has so many different shadows to choose from! I wish shipping to Canada wasn’t so much, it’s the only thing stopping me from ordering right now.

  12. March 6, 2019 / 1:48 pm

I was doing a no-buy this year that turned into a low-buy after a couple of releases… and that Daisy Marquez palette is one of the reasons! I couldn’t help it, the shades look stunning and different from what we’ve been seeing over and over again. And I really like most of the products you also mentioned here!

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 9, 2019 / 10:18 pm

The Daisy palette is so pretty! I think that there’s a lot that you could do with the colours in it. The mint green shade makes me thing of Spring 🙂
      Thanks for reading! x

I haven’t bought any makeup since mid-late last year which is so weird, considering I used to love buying something every couple of weeks haha! Being unaware of what’s coming out is a good way to save some money, so good on you for still saving even though you’re always up-to-date with all the new products haha

    • AlwaysCleia
      March 6, 2019 / 12:54 pm

Hi Angela! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’re well!
Yes not checking out what’s new is an easy way to save money. If you don’t know it’s there you can’t possibly want it right? I’ve been trying to limit my instagram time because there’s always so much advertising and new products coming out. Thanks for reading!
