Hey guys, On Monday I posted my latest Sephora haul, and I thought it would be fun to follow up with an Anti-Haul! I’ve been seeing these everywhere and I find it intriguing to hear what people have decided not to buy despite the hype. Here’s mine!
This brand came to Sephora Canada recently, and I’ve heard only good things about it, so If you love this brand I am not dissing you in any way. But for me, a married 24 year old on a single income (my husband went back to school), I can’t afford this brand. Foundation & Eyeshadow Quads are over $100, Lip Balms are around $40, and there is a bronzer over $130CAD! There are lots of great brands that aren’t this expensive, so I’ll stick with them. On that note…
I noticed this brand on Sephora Canada yesterday, and my first glance at the price points was enough to make me faint. I don’t know much about this brand, but I do know that there is no way that I would spend over $110 on a moisturizer, or up to $430 on a Serum, I don’t care how good it might be! Good Grief!!
This palette is beautiful but I’ve heard too many mixed feelings on the quality. It’s apparently incredibly hard to work with depending on your skill level. Personally, if I was going to splurge on an ABH palette it would be the Modern Renaissance. The colour scheme appeals to me more than the Subculture palette, and I haven’t read a bad review on it.
I honestly would have no clue what to do with the blue and purple highlighters included in the palette! Also with my dry skin I have discovered that I prefer liquid highlights to powder, they blend so much better for me.
Honestly I was kind of underwhelmed by the swatch videos I watched when Huda became a super big deal in the beauty world. I don’t know why but I can’t seem to get excited about these liquid lipsticks. There are a few brands I would choose over Huda to start with. I’m not saying never, I’m saying not right now.
Do you love any of these products and what you are anti-hauling this Summer!?
Just to clarify, I’m not saying that any of these products are bad, I’m saying they may not be for me because of price points or personal preferences in what kind of makeup I like to use (powder vs liquid vs cream, etc). *All Images in this post are courtesy of Sephora.com
