At the end of February I received a new highlighting stick from The Beauty Crop in my Spring Luxebox. I have never used one before and this is the first time I’ve heard of the brand. Some quick research told me that TBC believes in minimal ingredients in their products and is 100% Cruelty Free!
The Beauty Crop Glamazon Stick
At A Glance
The Beauty Crop’s Glamazon Stick is a Highlighting crayon made with vitamin E, cocoa butter and jojoba oil. It claims to be hydrating and long wearing. The swatch on the website doesn’t do justice to the shade of this highlighter. In person it’s a champagne shade that looks great on pale complexions, though the website makes it look like a gold shade. It retails for $16.
Packaging
The Beauty Crop Glamazon Stick comes in a plastic twist-up tube with a cap. I hate sharpening pencils so this is a no fuss product for me. It does feel a little bit cheap unfortunately, it reminds me of a crayon.
Formula
The formula is very creamy and applies easily without any tugging. It gives a healthy natural looking glow once blended without looking like you’ve drenched yourself in highlight. I like to apply my Glamazon Stick directly to my cheekbones & the bridge of my nose and then blend out with my fingers as opposed to using a brush.
Shade Selection
Unfortunately the Glamazon Stick crayon comes in only one shade. It would be lovely if TBC would make this in a couple shades to suit more skin tones, but for now what you see is what you get. Personally, this shade is perfect for me, but if you prefer a highlight with more colour or shimmer it may not be for you.
