The March Ipsy Glam Bag | 2020

My March Ipsy Glam Bag bag has arrived! I didn’t realize that it was around that time of the month already, I feel like the past few weeks have been absolutely crazy.

For the month of March Ipsy decided to include six products instead of the regular five to celebrate their 100th glam bag. I also got to choose an item for this month, and my pick was a Tatcha product! I’ve never tried Tatcha before so I was very excited for that.

If you haven’t heard of Ipsy before it’s a $12USD/month beauty subscription that promises 5+ deluxe and full sized beauty products a month.

If you want to try your own Ipsy glam bag you can subscribe Here.

March Ipsy Glam Bag Celebrate You

The March Ipsy Glam Bag

Up until this point Ipsy was killing it with their glam bag designs. I loved the marble design bag from January, and the soft pink quilted bag from February is my favourite makeup bag ever. And then the March bag came. All I could think was… what? It’s a blue-green bag with little metal studs all over it, and a neon yellow/green interior. It’s not really my style so it will be donated.

I’m not really too disappointed, I’ve long said that there should be an option to opt out of receiving a physical bag. I have way too many at this point!

The glam bag theme this March is Celebrate You.

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream

The Products

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream

This is a small sample of The Dewy Skin Cream from Tatcha. This is actually a good size for testing products though. I just finished a mini about the same size of the Boscia Cactus Water Cream and it took me about a month! Granted I was only using it once a day, instead of twice but I think I should be able to get a good feel for this moisturizer.

Tatcha is bloody expensive so I’m very happy to see this in my March Ipsy Glam Bag.

Naked Cosmetics Pressed Pigment Mother Nature

Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment

I received the shade Mother Nature. Interestingly enough I actually received a pressed pigment of this shade name from Naked Cosmetics in the 2017 November Glam Bag. The pressed formula works a lot better for me. I decluttered all of my loose pigments a while ago because I just don’t reach for them.

This beautiful golden brown shade makes a great eyeshadow but I got the idea to try it out as a highlighter too. While it’s a little dark for my skin tone I think I can pull it off as a full glam kind of thing!

March Ipsy Glam Bag Review 2020

Firma Beauty Elite B 203 Concealer Brush

Okay so my camera was not having it with this concealer brush. I couldn’t get the focus right given my lighting situation. Anyways, I wasn’t super stoked about this brush when I first saw it, but it’s grown on me a little. I did a cut crease with it a few days ago and it was incredibly easy to use.

I don’t really get excited for eyeshadow brushes in subscriptions because I have built up quite a large collection of eye brushes. I have every brush I could ever need! I wish the Ipsy style profile would let you specify what kind of makeup brushes you like. I love getting face brushes in my subscriptions, but eyeshadow brushes not so much.

Girlactik Precise Marker Liner

This girlactik eyeliner looks promising. The tip is very fine so it should be good for getting a sharp wing. I don’t have much to say about it other than that, I won’t be using this until I finish my current eyeliner.

Kensie Fragrance | March Ipsy Glam Bag

Kensie So Pretty Fragrance

This is my first time ever receiving a fragrance from Ipsy. I excited at first, but the scent of this Kensie fragrance reminds me more of those cheap “fake flowers” smelling body sprays you can get at most drugstores. I’m not a fan of the smell, so I will unfortunately not be using this.

Rael Sheet Masks | Ipsy

RAEL Sheet Mask Set

Yay sheet masks! These are both right up my alley. There’s a hydration mask with hyaluronic acid and fruit extracts to hydrate and brighten the skin as well as a vitamin C mask. Vitamin C is one of my favourite skincare ingredients. I’ve already finished every product from my Pixi Beauty Vitamin C PR Haul (reviewed Here) so more vitamin C on my shelves is definitely welcome.

I can’t wait for my days off to try one!

March Ipsy Glam Bag 2020

What did you get in your March Ipsy Glam Bag?

Overall I think the March Ipsy glam bag was only okay for me. I enjoyed my last two glam bags a lot more, but I’m happy to have a new eyeliner, as well as a tatcha product!

I’ve paused my subscription for the month of April, so my next glam bag should hopefully be in May. There’s a lot of uncertainty right now so I’m trying to cut down on spending until the world stabilizes a little bit. I still have some posts in the draft stage but I’m still working at my job through the crisis and spending a lot of my spare time practicing & writing music, so the blog comes after all that.

Thank you so much for reading! Remember to follow me on Social @alwayscleia x

Oh the little Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream – it still makes me so sad! I’ve never tried anything from Girlactik before, but that liner sounds really good.

I’m also so sad it didn’t work for you! The cream is my favourite thing in the bag this month.
I’m excited to start using the eyeliner, my current one is almost on it’s last legs. Thanks for reading! x
