I recently collaborated with Topbox to provide a sponsored post on my instagram which featured the Almay Clear Complexion Foundation. After completing the collaboration Topbox was so sweet to send me a Limited Edition Just Treats box as a thank you for working with them. This wasn’t part of the sponsorship arrangement, I wasn’t expecting it at all. I was really surprised when this box showed up in the mail.
It’s been over a year since I last shared a Topbox Unboxing with you guys on my blog, I reviewed their subscription box for probably a year and a half before taking a break and sampling some other boxes (You can find all my past Topbox reviews Here). I wanted to share my Topbox Just Treats box with you today! This box is still available for $26CAD Here! This post is not sponsored but these products were gifted to me.
Topbox Just Treats Limited Edition Box Review
The cylinder the products came in is so cute! It’s got little halloween designs all over it. I love those little pumpkins. Inside the cylinder was a product card detailing a ton of deluxe minis to try out plus two sheet masks.
MaskerAide Bubble Bubble Pop Mask &
MaskerAide Crystal Clear Mini Masks
In my last topbox unboxing last September I got to try out a MaskerAide lip mask. I remember liking it but I found it inconvenient not being able to move my mouth for twenty minutes. These sheet masks shouldn’t have that problem. I love getting face masks in subscription/limited edition value boxes. I rarely buy sheet masks for myself so they’re an indulgence when I get them in the mail.
Included was the new MaskerAide Bubble Bubble Pop Mask which is a lemon scented charcoal bubble mask. It’s supposed to bubble up when exposed to oxygen and deep clean your pores. Value: $7CAD
Next was the MaskerAide Crystal Clear Mini Sheet Masks which are lavender scented and meant to brighten and clarify the skin! There are 12 mini masks in this pack meant for spot treating your skin (I guess?). I will probably use them on my T zone, I have some acne scarring on my chin right now. Value: $7CAD
MannaKadar Eyeconic Lashes + Eyelash Glue
Oh man, its been a long, long time since I’ve seen a Manna Kadar product in the mail! I used to get this brand all the time when I was a consistent Ipsy and Topbox Subscriber, I have tons of reviews of both subscriptions up on my subscription box tab.
These Manna Kadar Falsies look a little wispy for me, but I think that’s just because I’m a N00b when it comes to putting on lashes. I always mess up! I like that these lashes came with their own lash glue. I’m going to try these out for a look on instagram and you guys can let me know what you think! Value: ~ $10.30CAD
Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lip in Crimson Chrome
I can’t figure out if the finish of this Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick is metallic or high shine. It’s considered a metallic by Smashbox but looking at it I don’t quite believe it. This shade reminds me of the pearlesence of the red stripes on a candy cane! I wish it tasted like peppermint… Crimson Chrome is a pretty red but a bit out of my comfort zone as I shy away from reds or wear them as a matte finish. I’ll have to give this lipstick a whirl when the holiday’s roll around! Value: ~14CAD?
Beautaniq Beauty Fill + Tame Brow Gel
Yay a brow gel! I find products like this very useful and I love that this Beautaniq Beauty Brow Gel is clear and will suit everyone who bought this Topbox Just Treats box. According to Beautaniq this brow gel is “An innovative light weight water-based formula enriched with Aloe Vera which defines and fills in the look of brows while controlling and shaping without flaking or fading.” Sounds good to me! I won’t open this up immediately, I have another two grow gels on the go. Value: ~$15.50CAD
Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment
I was so excited that there was a Glamglow mini in here! For those of you familiar with Glamglow their products aren’t cheap. This size is considered a travel size of their Supermud Clearing treatment, and this 0.5oz product retails for $30CAD at Sephora. WTF right? Value: $30CAD
I’m disappointed to say that I’m not a fan of this shade. It’s hard to put my finger on it, in dim lighting it looks like a pale green but in daylight it’s an oil slick grey. It’s sheer and doesn’t completely coat my nails but it’s not a finish that I can use as a topper. Value: ~ $14CAD
Will you be picking up a Topbox Just Treats box!?
Overall I really enjoyed the curation of this box. I like that we got a mix of high end and lower range brands, getting Glamglow and Smashbox in a box is always a win for me. The box totalled to approximately $96CAD after exchange rates which is over triple the box cost. I’m not sure how much use I’ll get from the Lashes and the polish isn’t my kind of colour but I can gift it to my sister in law. I probably wouldn’t have ordered this box for myself intentionally but I think it would make a great gift for someone who wasn’t expecting a little treat in the mail!
I forgot how much I enjoyed reviewing my Topbox subscription. Last week I went ahead and rejoined the waitlist! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this Topbox Just Treats Unboxing as much as I did writing it. Thank you so much for reading, let’s talk soon! Remember to click Subscribe xx
