Hey beauties! Today I’m featuring a brand on my blog that is new to me, but that I’ve seen all over influencer accounts on instagram. I was recently sent some gorgeous synthetic lashes from Esqido to share on my blog & instagram account. I knew that Esqido made Mink lashes but I had no idea that they also had an assortment of synthetic lashes available on their website. Most of you probably already know this but Mink lashes aren’t cruelty free, so it’s great that Esqido also has an assortment of synthetic lashes available.
If you haven’t heard of Esqido they’re a false eyelash retailer with a selection of Mink & Synthetic false eyelashes as well as Eyelash Glue & eyeliner. Their lash styles are absolutely beautiful and range from natural to dramatic. Esqido’s pricing is what I would consider mid-range. Esqido isn’t a drugstore brand so you won’t find their lashes as cheap as brands like Joe Fresh & Ardell, but they aren’t as expensive as Velour Lashes either. Their Unisyn Synthetic Lashes are priced at $22USD and their Mink lashes range from $24 – $32USD.
I’ve always been honest with you guys that I’m not very experienced at applying false lashes. My first attempt at wearing them was in my Natasha Denona Mini Lila palette video with an overly dramatic pair lashes that I got in last June’s Boxycharm. I gave up pretty quick. It was then that I realized I’m a girl who can only wear natural styles of false lashes. Dramatic styles aren’t for me! Luckily Esqido had me covered with more than a few light volume lash styles to choose from.
Peaches & Cream Unisyn False Lashes
Introducing Unisyn™, the world’s first true premium synthetic false eyelashes, made with a blend of ultra-fine synthetic fibres for an ultra-natural look — Esqido
I love that the Esqido lashes are sorted by light, medium and full volume. This makes it easy for a lash n00b like me to find lashes that will suit me. There were a couple pairs that I liked but the clear winner was the Unisyn Peaches & Cream light volume lashes.
*Update: When I chose these the Peaches & Cream lashes were listed as “Light Volume” or at least I thought they were… I checked the website today (Feb. 10th) and they’re now listed as Medium Volume. I’m very confused.
I knew I made the right choice when my chosen pair of false lashes arrived, they’re absolutely gorgeous! They’re the perfect amount of flirty and fluttery while still being light and natural. I love the criss cross pattern of the lash fibres. The casing for the lashes is beautiful too, it’s a hard plastic case slashed with gold. It looks really pretty!
Esqido’s lash glue came in a sleek & stylish tube with a gold cap. I’ve received lashes with drab little bottles of lash glue before (from other brands) and I was honestly expecting a similar mini glue bottle to go with the lashes. Esqido’s lash glue has lovely packaging but the glue itself seemed like it was beginning to dry out. It was kind of clumpy and hard to spread across the lash band. I shook the bottle up and tried mixing the glue with the wand but I still found it hard to apply to the lash band.
Applying My Esqido Lashes
Confession: I didn’t know that you were supposed to use makeup remover to dissolve existing glue on your false lashes before applying them. I was always so frustrated trying to remove glue from my lash bands with tweezers. I had no idea that makeup remover would do the trick until I read the little “caring for your Esqido lashes” guide that came with my Unisyn Lashes. WHY DIDN’T ANY OF THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS I WATCHED ON APPLYING FALSIES MENTION THIS!?
So if you didn’t know that, there’s a helpful tip for you. You’re welcome. I hope you haven’t been doing it wrong all year long like I have.
I had to trim my Peaches & Cream Lashes because they were a bit too long for my eyes. This is pretty standard as far as false lashes go. I’ve had to adjust almost every pair I’ve worn so far. They applied pretty easily and held the curve from the packaging well so I didn’t have to bend them to get the right shape on my eyes. I still struggled a little bit, but let’s face it I always struggle getting my lashes on just right.
Wearing my Esqido Lashes
My Unisyn Peaches & Cream lashes are light volume so I’m wondering how dramatic a medium or full volume lash would look on me. I have hooded eyes so false lashes always look more dramatic on me than on other people. I don’t know if that’s the real reason or if I just need to wear them more but these lashes looked more natural on the website model than on me. That being said I love them!
These lashes are beautiful. I feel like a fluttery dragon princess. This is a more dramatic makeup look for me but I think my Peaches & Cream lashes would pair well with a simple neutral eye too.
In this close up you can see how delicate the eyelash fibres are and how many of them there are. The criss-cross pattern appeals to me more than the straight lash pattern I usually wear. I can’t wait to pair these lashes with more makeup looks soon!
Have you heard of Esqido, and what’s your favourite type of false lash to wear?
Please note that even though these lashes were sent to me complimentary for review all opinions are my own. I will always be 100% honest with you guys about if I truly like or dislike a product.
