If you’re reading this the week I posted it I’m currently in Panama, hopefully lying on the beach with a cocktail in my hand. May might be an odd time to go on vacation, most people go in the winter to get away from the cold but the timing turned out to be perfect. My schedule at work has been all over the place, I spent the first weekend in May at a funeral and if you follow my instagram stories you’ll know that someone recently smashed my front glass door window. That’s not to say that my life is awful or anything, I know very well how blessed I am to have a place to live, a job, two cats and a loving (and sometimes frustrating) husband. Still, it’s nice to get away for a while.
I was slightly nervous for this trip. I always travel with my husband but this time I’m going with a friend and we’re going to be on our own for two days in Panama so I can’t help feeling a little apprehensive. We will also be sharing a group dorm with our tour group so I can’t help feeling anxious about what our group mates are going to be like. I will be sure to update you all on my trip, for now let’s talk makeup: What did I take with me to Panama & Costa Rica?
Travel Makeup | Complexion
For face makeup this time around I’m not bothering with foundation. It will probably melt right off my face anyway so I’m only bringing a small concealer palette. I’m taking a Becca Primer with me though because the purple tint helps balance out my skin and gives me a dewy glow.
Becca First Light Primer Travel Size
ColourPop Bronzer in Private Party
Becca Pressed Highlighter in Opal

I wanted to bring my Too Faced Natural Love palette on vacation but it’s just to big to travel with using a backpack. Instead I chose the ColourPop Give It To Me Straight Palette because it’s great for natural every day makeup. I also threw in a waterproof eyeliner & mascara.
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara
Joe Fresh Eyelash Curler
Travel Makeup | Lips & Brows
I have a hard time narrowing down my lip products when I travel and always end up taking at least three lipsticks. I also made sure to pack a waterproof mascara and a brow gel.
Sephora #lipstories Lipstick in Brunch Date
TreStiQué Rose Fig Lip Balm & Lipstick
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
The Brow Gal Brow Gel
What’s the one makeup product you always travel with?
Thank you guys so much for reading, I’ll do my best to keep up with comments and reading blogs, etc, but some of that may have to wait until I get back to Canada 😉 Take care <3
