Hey everyone, welcome back for another seasonal favourites post! I started posting my favourites seasonally as opposed to monthly in mid 2017. When I watch monthly favourites on youtube a lot of the time I get the impression that the influencer is only recommending what’s new to their collection, and when you’re getting so many products in PR each week how can any of those products really be favourites? I don’t get sent PR but even for me I feel like my favourites are more solid over a three month period versus monthly. Let’s get into my Winter Favourites!
In my first impressions post I swatched and created a look with this palette. The colours really are beautiful. I’m 100% on board with the mauve makeup trend right now and this palette is so much more affordable than the Huda mauve obsessions palette. Not that this is a dupe by any means, but I get my mauve fix from the GITMS. I have a full review up now!
I’m worried you guys are going to get sick of me talking about ColourPop, but here I go again… For the full deal on this concealer you can check out my No Filter Concealer Review. Here’s a quick rundown: No Filter concealer is matte, blendable and only $6USD! It makes a perfect cut crease and dries down quickly. I bought a shade lighter than I normally would (Fair 5) because it oxidizes.
I featured this in my Top 10 Winter Skin Savers blog post so you guys already know I love this, but I couldn’t leave it out. My skin has been weird all winter but the Fresh Soy cleanser helps to calm my skin without drying it out. Fresh is on the pricey side but I treated myself because it’s so gentle while still cleansing my skin.
Once again, I repeat, Fresh is NOT cheap. If you want to try some of their lip treatments I recommend getting a set like the Fresh Sugar Lip Prep N Paint Value Set I reviewed in January to maximize the value. I don’t know about you but it takes me a long time to finish any sort of lip product so getting a sample or the mini from Sephora will go a long way. This Fresh Advanced Therapy Balm has helped to keep the dryness at bay and prevent chapped lips for the most part. My lips still aren’t perfect or even close but this balm makes a great lip primer or overnight treatment.
This little bottle of perfume came in the L’Occitane Luxury Beauty Advent Calendar I unboxed in 2017. It’s my favourite out of all four I received in the calendar. I normally don’t go for floral scents but this one smells sweet, and not at all like dying flowers. I wish it had a spritzer, I think I’m going to have to buy a little empty glass rollerball to make applying it easier!
My Mother In Law gave me a little bottle of this around Christmas, and let me tell you, it’s amazing. It contains oil so I have to shake the bottle to mix the formula up properly before each use. My makeup removes easier than ever with no tugging on my eye area when I use this formula. It removes waterproof makeup effortlessly. I’m a girl who rarely splurges on luxury products, so that I went to the store and purchased the full size for $39CAD speaks wonders about how much I loved this!
I’m looking forward to Spring when I can wear shorts, dresses and tank tops again. I hope you all enjoyed this favourites post, let me know if you’ve tried any of these products 🙂
